🚨 SCAM ALERT: Protect Your Accounts 🚨

A new wave of scams is targeting Namibian account admins through direct messages on various platforms. Scammers are sending fake alerts, claiming your account has unusual activity or may be suspended, and urging you to click on a link to “verify” or “confirm.”

How the Scam Works:

1️⃣ You receive a message pretending to be from official support, warning of “suspicious activity” on your account.
2️⃣ It threatens to lock your account if you don’t act within 24 hours.
3️⃣ The provided link leads to a fake login page where scammers steal your credentials.

How to Stay Safe:

✔️ Avoid clicking links in unsolicited messages.
✔️ Double-check URLs for authenticity. Official URLs will always match the platform’s name exactly.
✔️ Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.
✔️ Educate your team. If you manage accounts with multiple admins, ensure they’re aware of these scams.

What to Do If You Clicked the Link:
1. Immediately change your password.
2. Review account security settings and remove any unknown devices.
3. Contact platform support to report the incident.
