A GRAND SALUTE TO EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE
The atmosphere across Abia State, God’s Own State, remains filled with pride and admiration following the successful inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed members into various strategic boards by His Excellency, Governor Alex Chioma Otti.
This remarkable event once again reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to excellence, purposeful governance, and the rebuilding of a greater and more prosperous Abia State. Through visionary leadership, merit-driven appointments, and a passion for development, His Excellency continues to inspire hope among the people and strengthen the foundation of effective governance across the state.
Among the distinguished personalities inaugurated is our illustrious Brother and Son, Onyekachi Ernest Aguocha, who has been entrusted with the noble responsibility as Director General, State Road Fund. His appointment stands as a testament to competence, integrity, and dedication to public service. Indeed, this honour is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride to his people and the entire good citizens who believe in service, excellence, and progress.
The event was further dignified by the presence of eminent leaders and statesmen, including the Deputy Governor of Abia State, alongside the former Deputy Governor, Udeh Oko Chukwu, and the Honourable Member representing Isuikwuato in the State House of Assembly, Udoka Lucky Johnson Nweke, among numerous distinguished dignitaries whose presence added colour, honour, and prestige to the historic occasion.
Indeed, this inauguration ceremony symbolizes a new chapter of visionary administration, strategic development, and collective responsibility toward building a stronger and more progressive Abia State.
May the Almighty God continue to strengthen Governor Alex Chioma Otti and all appointed officials with wisdom, courage, and grace as they work tirelessly for the advancement of the state and the welfare of the people.
Congratulations to all the inaugurated board members.
Congratulations to Onyekachi Ernest Aguocha.
Congratulations to Abia State, God’s Own State.

ABIA HAS WOKEN UP:
THE ALEX CHIOMA OTTI LEADERSHIP THAT ENDED 24 YEARS OF DARKNESS
For twenty-four painful years, Abia State was held hostage by failed leadership, recycled promises, and a political culture that thrived on decay. Roads collapsed and were forgotten. Public institutions weakened. Hope dimmed. Governance became a private enterprise for a few, while the people paid the price in suffering, stagnation, and silence.
Then came Dr. Alex Chioma Otti—and everything changed.
What Abians are witnessing today is not magic. It is not luck. It is not coincidence. It is simply good governance in action, something that was deliberately denied this state for over two decades. Dr. Otti did not inherit a miracle-working wand; he inherited a broken system. And instead of making excuses, he rolled up his sleeves and went to work.
Today, Abia is no longer a metaphor for abandonment. Roads once described as death traps are now symbols of rebirth. Cities once mocked are now being reimagined. Infrastructure is no longer a campaign slogan—it is concrete, asphalt, drainage, light, and order. From Aba to Umuahia, from urban centers to rural communities, development is speaking louder than propaganda ever could.
And that is exactly why some people are angry.
Let us speak the truth without fear:
Those who shout the loudest against this government are not angry because Abia is failing. They are angry because Abia is no longer available for looting.
For years, public office was a shortcut to private wealth. Budgets were shared, projects were abandoned, and accountability was treated as an insult. Today, that era is over. The gates of reckless embezzlement have been firmly shut, and those who once fed fat on public funds are now crying foul—pretending to be defenders of the people they previously ignored.
They insult progress because progress exposes their past.
They attack transparency because transparency ends their schemes.
They fight accountability because accountability has disqualified them.
Dr. Alex Chioma Otti has done what many thought impossible: he has shamed 24 years of bad government—not with insults, but with results. Every reconstructed road is a question to the past. Every revived institution is an indictment of yesterday. Every prudent decision is a reminder that Abia did not fail because it lacked resources, but because it lacked leadership with conscience.
This administration has restored dignity to governance. Workers are paid with respect. Public funds are tracked. Projects are visible. Governance is no longer about godfathers and backroom deals; it is about the people of Abia State.
And to those who profit from confusion, who survive on lies, who dream of returning Abia to the days of darkness—we say this clearly: Abia has moved on.
The people have seen the difference.
The people have tasted good governance.
And the people will not be deceived again.
This is not just an administration; it is a movement. A movement that says Abia deserves better. A movement that proves leadership is about service, not self. A movement powered by competence, courage, and character.
Dr. Alex Chioma Otti has raised the bar—and exposed the emptiness of those who ruled before him. History is watching. The people are watching. And progress, unmistakably, is marching forward.
Abia is working again.
Abia is breathing again.
Abia is rising again.
And no amount of noise from the beneficiaries of yesterday’s failure can stop it.
