Do you think you have a goal to boost your business but seems not working?
Then you are missing two things;
🔥 A SMART goal
🔥 KPI
What’s a SMART goal: The term SMART is an acronym for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time bound
📌 Specific: This simply means what needs to be done?, you already have an objective, right? so what do you think needs to be done; your goal must be specific.
📌 Measurable: Can your goal be measured? Are you looking for more leads, maybe it’s a website visits , could be a sale conversion , your goal need to be measurable to determine if you are successful after all.
📌 Achievable: Can it be done? Answering this will make you know if your goal is realistic and achievable
📌 Relevant: Should it be done? Is your goal relevant in relation to what you are trying to achieve (the bigger business objectives)
📌 Time bound: when will it be done? Is your goal time bound, you should have a start and an end date for your goal in order to track against the milestone and know when it’s time to measure and evaluate success.
For example: I want a 100 new followers on my LinkedIn profile in one month.
✅ Specific: 100 new followers
✅ Measurable: I’ll be able to measure if i get a 100 new followers after one month.
✅ Achievable: Yes, it’s achievable
✅ Relevant: getting more followers means more people will see my post and profile and in turn help me “grow my LinkedIn profile” as the bigger objectives
✅ Time-bound : In one month. It’s time specific.
🔥 KPI (Key performing indicators) : When setting your goals , it’s also important to think about how you are going to track and evaluate your results. In a simple term, KPI is a tool to help you evaluate the success of your marketing.
From the above example; I can say my KPI is
“Number of new followers”.
