BIGGEST MISTAKE A LOT OF BUSINESS OWNERS MAKE.

You’re a business owner, but your profile picture is your logo, your product, or a flyer.

Why?

You are not only marketing your PRODUCT.

You are marketing YOURSELF.

People buy from people they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST.

That’s the KLT factor.

Go and look at successful business owners.

Take Mrs Chioma Ifeanyi-Eze , for example. She sells eggs.

But she doesn’t put a picture of eggs as her profile picture.

Look at Mr Chinedu Paul Nnamani . He’s a Facebook advertiser.

He doesn’t use the Facebook logo as his profile picture.

Why?

Because their personal identity is part of their brand.

When someone sees your profile, they should be able to see the PERSON behind the business.

Your logo belongs on your business page, your flyers, your website, your product packaging, etc.

But on your PERSONAL profile?

Let people see YOU.

Show your face.

Build familiarity.

Share your expertise.

Let people know who they are actually buying from.

Because before people trust your business, they often need to trust the person behind it.

So if you're running a business from your personal Facebook account and your profile picture is still your logo...

Change it.

Put your face there.

You are not just selling your product.

You are selling the person people are going to
trust enough to buy from.

Even as connected as Adesuwa was, she said it took her 8 years to raise her first private equity fund.

Since morning, my Facebook feed has been flooded with posts about her story.

Thousands of people were inspired.

But one thing stood out to me...

How many of us actually know what private equity means? 😅

I'll be honest.

A few years ago, I probably couldn't have explained it either.

After watching the interview, I decided to learn more.

Here's the simplest way to think about it.

Imagine someone owns a small fruit juice company.

The product is great.

Customers love it.

But the business has outgrown its equipment, and there's no money to expand to more cities.

Then a group of investors says:

"We believe this business can become much bigger. We'll invest money, help improve the business, and in return we'll own part of it."

That's private equity.

Instead of buying shares on the stock market, they're investing directly in businesses they believe can grow significantly.

They help the business become more valuable, then eventually sell their stake for a profit.

What fascinated me wasn't just what private equity is.

It was what Adesuwa had to do.

She spent 8 years convincing investors to trust her with millions of dollars to invest in African businesses.

Yes, coming from a well-connected family may have opened some doors.

But connections don't replace competence.

They don't replace credibility.

And they certainly don't replace persistence.

Eight years of meetings.

Eight years of rejection.

Eight years of proving herself.

As someone building a business, that hit me differently.

Whether you're selling a product, running ads, building a brand, or launching something new, people often see the results but not the years of consistency behind them.

Many people quit after a few weeks because sales are slow.

Some stop posting because engagement drops.

Others abandon a business because it isn't growing as fast as they expected.

But success usually belongs to those who keep showing up.

Adesuwa's story reminded me that sometimes the breakthrough isn't about finding one perfect opportunity.

It's about refusing to stop after hundreds of disappointments.

Keep building.

Keep learning.

Keep improving.

Your "yes" may be taking longer than expected, but that doesn't mean it's not coming.

What's one goal or business you've stayed committed to, even when it felt like nothing was happening?

I want to talk about something that completely changed how I work.

Before I started using AI tools I was doing everything the hard way. Writing content from scratch every single time. Spending hours trying to organize my research notes. Staring at a blank
screen trying to figure out what to post next. Running a digital product business, researching perfumes and trying to learn ads all at the same
time as a student was genuinely overwhelming.

Then I started experimenting with AI tools and something shifted.

The first tool that changed everything for me was Claude by Anthropic. I use this one more than anything else. When I have raw perfume research notes that are all over the place, Claude helps
me organize them into something clean and structured. When I'm trying to think through my ad strategy, I talk it through with Claude and it helps me see angles I wasn't considering. When
I was building Smell Rich Spend Less, Claude helped me turn three years of scattered notes into fifteen coherent chapters. It doesn't write my research for me — but it multiplies what I can
do with what I already have.

The second tool I genuinely can't work without is CapCut. Everything I create for TikTok and Instagram Reels comes together here. Transitions, text, audio, pacing — CapCut makes content that would normally take a full day to
produce happen in a couple of hours.

Then there's Google Veo and Flow for video generation. As someone who is still learning to show his face on camera consistently, being able to generate quality video content for ads without needing a full production setup has been a lifeline honestly.

I also use Canva AI daily for graphics, carousels and my ebook design work. The AI features inside Canva save me hours every single week.

Here's what I want you to understand about all of this though.

AI didn't replace my work. I still buy every perfume myself. I still wear them and document every finding personally. I still run my own ads and feel every loss and win from them directly. AI just took everything I was already doing and made it possible for one person to output what used to require a full team.

If you're a Nigerian trying to build something on your own — AI tools are the closest thing to having a team without the payroll.

I'm still learning. Still experimenting. Still figuring out what works and what doesn't. And I share everything as I go.

Which AI tool are you already using? And which one are you curious about? Drop it in the comments — I'll reply to everything 👇

I still remember how annoyed I was that day.

I'd just spent almost ₦30,000 on a perfume I'd been looking forward to buying. Everything seemed fine. The packaging looked legit, the seller sounded convincing, and I left feeling like I'd gotten a good deal.

Then I got home, sprayed it, and immediately knew something wasn't right.

The scent was harsh. It didn't smell anything like the one I'd tested before.

I'd been sold a fake.

That experience forced me to learn how to spot the difference before spending my money again.

Now, I always check the bottle quality, the printing on the box, and whether the batch codes match. I also pay attention to how the fragrance develops on my skin. Original perfumes evolve. Most fakes don't.

I honestly wish someone had taught me these things before that ₦30,000 disappeared.

Has something like this ever happened to you? I'd love to hear your story in the comments 👇

I almost gave up on running ads after
my first campaign.

I had put together what I thought was
a solid setup. Good creative. Decent
budget. A product I genuinely believed
in. I launched it and just sat there
refreshing my phone every few minutes
waiting for that first sale notification.

Nothing came.

Two days passed. Then three. Money was
leaving my account and nothing was
coming back. I remember sitting on my
bed one night feeling like maybe this
whole digital marketing thing wasn't
for me. Maybe I should just stick to
what I know and forget ads completely.

But something in me wouldn't let me
quit that easily. So instead of shutting
everything down I started actually
studying what was happening instead of
just watching the numbers and panicking.

What I learned changed everything for me.

Facebook's algorithm isn't instant. It
needs time to understand who your buyer
actually is. In those first few days
it's not failing — it's learning. Every
single time you panic and kill a
campaign early you're basically
restarting that learning process from
zero. I had been doing that without
even realizing it. Killing campaigns
out of fear right when they were about
to start working.

I also didn't fully understand how
important it was to give the system
enough purchase data before judging
performance. A campaign with only three
or four sales hasn't told you anything
yet. The algorithm needs real volume
before it can optimize toward the
right people.

Once I understood that and gave my
campaigns the patience they needed
things started shifting. Not overnight.
But steadily.

I'm telling you this because I know
someone reading this right now is
exactly where I was. Watching ad spend
go out with nothing coming back and
feeling like giving up.

Don't quit in the first few days. Give
it the time it actually needs. The
algorithm is learning, not failing you.

I'm not an expert. I'm just someone
who almost quit and didn't. And I'm
sharing everything I learn as I
keep going.

I want to share something with you today
that genuinely made me feel like all the
research was worth it.

When I started testing perfumes and
documenting everything I honestly wasn't
sure anyone would care. I was just a guy
tired of wasting money on perfumes that
kept disappointing him.

But since putting everything into Smell
Rich Spend Less the messages I've been
getting have been something else entirely.

Someone reached out and told me they had
spent close to ₦40,000 on perfumes in
one year and most of them were either
fake or just completely wrong for them.
After reading the ebook they bought two
of my recommended picks. Combined cost
was around ₦50,000. Both became the most
complimented fragrances they had ever
owned.

Another person — a young lady preparing
for job interviews — said she never knew
what to wear for professional settings.
The occasion guide in the ebook changed
that completely for her. She said she
walked into her last interview smelling
like she already had the job.

A guy told me the fake detection chapter
alone saved him from spending ₦28,000
on a bottle that turned out to be
completely fake. He said the cheat sheet
is now permanently on his phone.

These messages are the reason I keep
showing up here every single day.

I'm not the biggest name in this space.
I'm not claiming to be an expert. I'm
just someone documenting his journey
honestly — in perfumes, in marketing
and in AI — and sharing everything
I learn as I go.

And it's clearly helping people.

If you've been on the fence about getting
Smell Rich Spend Less — this is me
telling you honestly that it delivers.

₦5,000. Everything I know. Link below 👇

Let me talk to the women today.

Because honestly the Nigerian perfume
market hasn't been fair to you. You
either get recommended overpriced
designer bottles that eat your budget
or cheap body sprays that die before
you get to your destination.

There's a middle ground. And after
testing and researching extensively
I found four perfumes that sit right
in that sweet spot premium performance
without the premium price tag.

Here's what my research found 👇

LATTAFA YARA — around ₦30,000 to ₦34,000
If I had to pick one perfume that
consistently gets Nigerian women the
most compliments at this price range
this is it. Sweet, fruity, feminine
and absolutely beautiful on the skin.
It opens with something vibrant and
tropical and dries down into this warm
vanilla and musk base that lingers for
hours. I've tracked this one across
multiple occasions and the compliment
rate is genuinely remarkable. Best for
everyday wear and dates.

LATTAFA ASAD FEMME — around ₦28,000 to ₦32,000
If Yara is the sweet girl next door
then Asad Femme is the woman who walks
into a room and owns it. Deep, warm,
sensual and bold. 8 to 10 hours
longevity in my testing. This one stays
in the room after you leave. Best for
evenings and social occasions where
you want to leave a serious impression.

AL REHAB DALAL — around ₦15,000 to ₦20,000
This one is the hidden gem on this list.
Soft, clean, innocent and pleasant.
It smells far more expensive than what
you pay for it. 6 to 8 hours longevity.
Perfect for office environments and
daytime wear where you want to smell
great without overwhelming anyone.
Best value for money pick on this list.

RASASI CHASTITY — around ₦28,000 to ₦35,000
A powerhouse floral fragrance that
performs everywhere. Office, evening,
social gatherings. It handles all of
them with ease. Strong projection,
beautiful dry down and it leaves
an impression that people remember.
8 to 12 hours in my testing.

Not one paid recommendation here.
Every single one of these was
researched personally.

Prices vary depending on your vendor
and current exchange rates so always
verify before buying.

Which one do you already own? Which
one are you trying next? Drop it in
