Let’s discuss branding and targeting for a moment. Shall we?
Hugo Boss, a clothing/fashion brand recently hosted 300 Million people in Dubai.
How?
Hugo Boss declared to move their company from a €2.8 billion revenue company (as per 2021 figures) to a €4 billion revenue company within five years.
That is objective.
Next, they did some rebranding and divided the company into two.
Hugo and Boss.
The first to target Gen Z and the latter, the Millennials in today’s world.
That’s strategy.
300 million people come next. How did they achieve this?
Hugo and Boss cannot reach everyone (even if they had the resource), to do this, they reached out to top influencers across Instagram, Tiktok and other industries.
That’s where Khaby Lame comes in.
..
Khaby with his famous shrug, one of the most influential personalities on Tik Tok has 131.7million followers.
With other influencers, they closed in about 6.6 billion impressions and 307 million social media engagements within six days for Hugo Boss.
Why Khaby?
The objective of Hugo was to reach the Gen Z market and sell as much to them. For this, they needed direct targeting.
How else would they achieve this, but use influencer marketing.
Khaby has the followers (Gen Z), has the audience and the trust of his followers. All he simply did was release a post or two and the impressions came in crazily. More than half a billion impressions!!!
You can bet Hugo sold out its clothes. 60,000 hoodies in one day.
Targeting is very important and can determine the success of your ads.
If you want better results with your ads, focus on targeting the right audience. Do your research on the ideal customers for your business, Their habits, interests, lifestyle and everything they hear, see and who they follow.
Whether ads or influencer marketing, the goal is to reach your audience.
That way, you can make your brand and ads a Khaby Lame!
Happy Sunday🎉🎉
