I almost cried, right before my own event started.
Actually… I did cry.
A few weeks ago, I hosted an event I had poured my time, energy, and heart into. But moments before everything fully began, reality didn’t match the picture I had in my head. The expectations, the pressure, the “what ifs”, it all hit me at once.
So yes, I cried.
Just before it became a pool of tears, my friend walked up to me and asked what was wrong. I told her how disappointed I felt, trying to hold tears back.
She didn't even give a long speech, She simply shut every negative thought in that moment and reminded me who I was and why that event mattered to me. And immediately I switched back into my hosting mode.
The event went on, People smiled, Value was shared, Memories were created and the most amazing part of this was the feedbacks i got from attendees, Simply worth every tear.
And later, I realized something important, We all need something that holds us together when doubt shows up.
Now here’s where this connects to content creation. Your content is that “someone” for your brand.
It’s what holds your audience when they’re scrolling endlessly, It’s what makes them pause, It’s what makes them come back.
Content isn’t just for selling, although yes, sales matter, but another important thing you need to know about content is that content is also for connection for familiarity and most certainly, for trust.
So why are you posting content with no story, no intention, no strategy? Boring content doesn’t fail because of the algorithm, It fails because it gives people no reason to stay. The goal isn’t just to make people see your brand once, the goal is to make them feel something strong enough to return.
Before your next post, ask yourself this question:
Would I stop scrolling for this?
If the answer is no, your audience probably won’t either.
Creators and business owners, what’s one moment that almost made you give up but taught you something valuable instead?
Let’s share stories in the comments. Someone out there needs to read yours today.
