My theme for this speech is "The Power of the 99% citizens for change". Ladies and gentleman, I stand before you with a simple but powerful truth. The government is made up of 1% of our total Population but the destiny of our nation rest in the hands of the 99% which is the people. We live in a time where it is easy to point ๐โ๏ธ๐ fingers to complain and wait for the government to bring the change that we long to see but let us pause and asked ourselves who truly holds that greater power the 1% who lead or the 99% who work live and breathe into this nation every single day, when the Late John F. Kennedy asked. "Asked not what your country can do for you but asked what you can do for your country" he was reminding us that patriotism is not a spectator's sport it is not standing on the sidelines waiting for others to build the future for you patriotism is in action it is service and it is sacrifice.
Think about this the government may pass the laws but it is the citizens give them meaning, the government may set the policies but it is the citizens who live them out, the government may lead but it is the citizen the 99% who carry the nation foward upon their shoulders, changes has never been born from the comfort of the powerful but it has always been risen from the courage of the people. If the 99% of the citizens commit to integrity in their daily lives corruption will lose its grip if 99% of the citizens value education our literacy and knowledge will rise if 99% of the citizens invest in honesty hard work and unity our economy will flourish.๐๐๐๐๐๐
