My dear compatriots,

I stand before you today with a deep sense of responsibility and an unwavering belief that Nigeria can once again become a nation where every citizen lives in peace, pursues opportunity, and dreams without fear.

Security is the first responsibility of any government. Without security, farmers cannot farm. Traders cannot trade. Children cannot learn. Investors cannot invest. Families cannot sleep peacefully.

For too long, many communities across our nation have lived under the shadow of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, violent crime, and fear. Too many families have mourned loved ones. Too many businesses have closed. Too many farmers have abandoned their fields. Too many young people have grown up believing that insecurity is normal.
