As a very busy Dad (from one site to meetings to lectures to content to exams, juries and even business). I have always made it a point of duty to make sure that I Colonize school runs. (Yes you heard me). And more importantly make sure that every school run trip was a memorable one. The kids can testify to that. For me this is the little time I can use to "007" with them.
It's in these trips to school that we unleash all the catch up gist. Ask questions on what happened in their school, who are their new friends, who said what and who did what. (You get the idea). We also use these road trips as a from telling educative and playful stories, (sometimes we revise the homework and class test too). We also use that medium to be sure that everyone is on Dad's good book if not eh. "Of course the person will miss the next fun trip" of course no body wants to be left out.
One thing is evident that the closer you get to them and "speak their language", the likelihood that you can easily correct them with out going physical. (I personally detest going physical on kids especially when you have options to physiologically discipline them) except 1 in 100s that has follow come coconut head which one or max two better factory reset would do justice to the person.
Another advantage is that they tend to open up more to you and tell you every... I mean everything that went on at your back. Besides they hardly even have an secrets self. Like one day I got to school on one of the after exams period when most teachers where busy marking scripts and computing results. I went to pick them as usual and my son's face that used to "blush" (yes blush no be only girls de blush na. E get as smile go full e go turn to blushing na. If I lie ask those babes that their man ask them to send account number. Yes that feeling)and he came out rather sad. I just sighted him and asked. He downloaded everything that happened. Na so I change am for the school head teacher and they were even trying to cover up (story for another day). God save them say I just received small alert before going for school run.
Ehee I know some onyokometer would say why I de put them on front seat de drive. Ehhh these roads aren't major roads and beside this video was just for the content. Na for back dem de stay o.
