Our attention has been drawn to another round of falsehood, propaganda, and misleading statements being circulated by individuals parading themselves as leaders of the SDP.

For the avoidance of doubt, the leadership of the party under Shehu Musa Gabam remains the authentic and legally recognized leadership of the SDP, as affirmed by relevant court positions and the official recognition of the party structure by INEC.

The claims of suspension or expulsion against the National Chairman remain baseless, unconstitutional, and politically motivated attempts by imposters seeking to destabilize the party for selfish interests.

It is also important to state clearly that those behind the illegal gathering and kangaroo convention held in Bauchi were duly invited for peace and reconciliation meetings but deliberately refused to honour the process before proceeding with actions that are contrary to the constitution of the party and democratic procedures.

No amount of propaganda, media noise, or false allegations can override constitutional processes, legality, and the will of genuine party members across the country.

The SDP under the leadership of Shehu Musa Gabam remains united, focused, and committed to internal democracy, credible leadership, and building a stronger platform for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

We therefore urge party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the misleading claims and continue to rely on official communications from the authentic national leadership of the SDP.

Today at the National Headquarters of the SDP, Hon. (Mrs.) Emem Monday Udoh officially purchased her Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms to contest for the position of Governor of Akwa Ibom State under the platform of the SDP.

Although she was unavoidably absent, she was ably represented by the SDP State Chairman in Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Engr. Wellington Odiong, who received the forms on her behalf.

This development further reflects the growing confidence and trust Nigerians continue to place in the SDP as a credible and people-oriented political platform.

The party remains committed to providing equal opportunities, strengthening internal democracy, and encouraging inclusive participation for all aspirants across the country.

The Gombe State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) M. Kumo held a strategic meeting with aspirants of the party in Gombe State to discuss issues relating to party unity, cohesion, and the collective commitment toward ensuring a free, fair, and transparent process ahead of forthcoming political activities.

During the meeting, strong emphasis was placed on national unity, internal democracy, party discipline, and the shared responsibility of strengthening the SDP at all levels for the progress of the party and the nation at large.

The aspirants unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the party, Alh. Shehu Musa Gabam, as well as the Gombe State Chairman, in recognition of their leadership, dedication, and continued efforts toward repositioning and expanding the party across the country.

The meeting also called on party members, supporters, and stakeholders across the state to intensify membership drive campaigns and strengthen grassroots mobilisation in preparation for future political engagements.
