I Think this is the true narrative of the dichotomy in the health sector. in the last few decades, the events of strike by resident doctors had the tendency to absolutly disrupt the health system creating a large lacunae in the service process and care delivery. in those days, basic medicals were very moribond and , doctors had the monopoly to strike. however, for over time, the basic medicals evolved into various technologically intensive modalities with radiography on top of the game. in the contemporary health service system in nigeria, this monopoly is cripling so fast as physiologists are contending clinical space with potentials of occupying sensitive clinical positions. radiographers happen to be the star boy of the health sector as it stands at date. notably the crash effects of resident doctor strikes no longer create as much lacunae as usual. and they are about to start a very long oddessy of retaining their initial momentum from the onset. the fight against our ROYAL profession is a neccessity, with a bright future for the nigerian health system. radiography as a profession has the potentials to improve the global nature of our quality health service system and reverse the current health effusion and sustain internally generated revenue in health sector. i repeat that radiography as a noble profession has come to stay and it is the happiest thing that has ever happened to nigeria. with this facts tangible, i urge the collective effort of NMA ,FMOH, NSHDP to protect and advance the course of medical imaging in nigeria. notably, i want to state that radiography is the rate limiting steps in advanced trauma and cardiovascular life support. it should there stand as an independently viable faculty. i think that delibertate attempts should be made to consolidate on what we have on ground. i want to stress that all the professional sentiments against radiography should rather be a deliberate attempt to standardise the discipline and not to move the health sector 10 years backwards.. i am a progressive nigerian with multidiscilplinary health capacity, i understand the dynamics that clinical imaging brought into the health sector compared to the years when imaging was collonised. how do we improve the global nature of imaging in nigeria and make room for cost effective and quality imaging delivery acros the three tiers of the health sector including public and private clinical imaging practice standadisation may be imperative. scraping the eye of medicin is bala blulubu and brahahahah bills. i think this is the most insane policy proposal that may course war in the health sector.....
