There was a time I realized something important: nobody was coming to save me.
If I wanted a better life, I had to do something about it myself.
The problem was, I didn’t have any physical skill or trade. So I decided to try an online business. I started selling different things...clothes, shoes, ring lights, televisions, kitchen utensils… just about anything I could think of. My mindset then was simple: if I sell everything, I’ll make sales.
I even gave my business a name, Lex Marketing. To me, it was going to be the “plug” where anyone could buy anything. But in reality, it turned into me being a jack of all trades. And soon I faced the hard truth: people weren’t buying. No matter how much I posted, sales weren’t coming.
At that point, I felt frustrated. But then I came across a piece of advice that changed everything for me. Someone said:
“You can’t sell everything to everyone. You need to master selling one product and let people know you for that product before you can build trust online.”
That advice hit me deeply. I decided to focus on just one thing...creator tools, like ring lights.
That was when things started to change. Little by little, I began to make sales. It wasn’t plenty at first, but at least it was working.
Still, I wanted more. I wanted to grow faster and reach more people.
That was when I discovered Facebook and Instagram ads. I got curious and started learning, practicing, and testing. The more I practiced, the more results I saw. Soon, I didn’t just love running ads for myself...I became passionate about the skill itself.
From there, my journey changed. I didn’t stop at ads. I learned business coaching, social media management, and other digital skills that would help me scale.
That was when I realized my business had outgrown the old name. It wasn’t just Lex Marketing anymore...it became Lex Marketing Strategies.
And that’s how I got here today. From a beginner who tried to sell everything and failed, to someone who focused, mastered a skill, and now helps businesses use Facebook and Instagram ads to actually sell and grow.
my journey taught me one thing: you don’t need to know everything, you just need the right focus and th
