Feeling Vindicated And Hatred Are Two Different Things: donβt get me wrong until you read my text.
By Ochuba Chichebe.
I came across a post from one Temmy Okanlomo calling Igbos out and insinuating that they have been celebrating the terrorist attack that happened in Oyo state which saw the kidnapping of 48 school children including some teachers, and the subsequent beheading of one of the teachers.
The post, though a pointer to the undeniable fact that Nigeria is already a visible FAILED state that has little or no remedy. However, trying to blackmail and blame a particular tribe, especially the Igbos is callous and highly insensitive. The failure of Nigeria as a state is a collective collaboration of our past and present political leaders across tribes. I do not wish to start lecturing you on what we all already know, so let me focus on the main point
Yes, it may seems as if some persons do not really show concern over the attack. But this isnβt out of hatred for the Yorubas, so I think. Itβs important for every tribe in Nigeria to learn how to read signs and probably take actions to preserve their heritage. Even though some of us refused to agree with the man from the East who is now in jail that prophesied the current security situation in the Southwest, we can now agree that the man was right, even though his strategy maybe wrong. The people not willing to show concern over the Oyo attack are probably those who, abinitio believed the prophecy, who now feels the Yorubas did not take the warning seriously, hence deserve no sympathy for the calamity befalling the region now. However, I totally disagree with anyone feeling less over the attack. Every single life matters, even though not to our politicians.
Recently, I saw a video of a popular singer from southwest, crying and blaming the Yorubas for not taking the words of Nnamdi Kanu seriously. He was visibly angry at Yoruba leaders for allowing the insecurity get to this level in their region. This got to tell you that the situation has nothing to do with Igbos hating the Yorubas as claimed by Okanlomo in his post. Itβs about some persons feeling vindicated over what they believe they warned against. Feeling vindicated and hatred are not the same .
As a matter of fact, I have personally come to agree that there is an agenda somewhere to wipe out indigenous people from their lands, whether in the Southwest, southeast, South south or North. There is obviously a plan, even though we all choose to pretend itβs not true because of political patronage and parochial political interest of emilokan.
What started in Kwara state as a test run is now in the traditional power house of the southwest (Oyo empire), yet some persons like Temmy is playing Igbo card with it because of 2027.
I repeat, not even President Tinubu nor Peter Obi or Atiku can stop what is happening in Nigeria. None of them has the capacity and the political will to tackle our current security and economic challenges. Nigeria needs total shutdown and reboot. And if we must continue to live together under one Nigeria, then we go regional system.
However, if that option is too cumbersome to achieve, then we need a man in Omoyele Sowore who can boldly confront any cabal and send anyone found wanting to jail. A man in Peter Obi can not withstand any cabal in Nigeria. And of course, Tinubu and Atiku are cabal themselves whose primary interest is to run the country down and steal as much wealth as they could.
Finally, it will be in the best interest of every tribe in Nigeria, especially the commoners to stop fighting each other and unite together to fight their common enemy. Our common enemy is our leaders from Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Fulani, Tiv, Ijaw etc. these sect of elites are strongly united in their quest to steal and kill all of us.
