A Federal High Court in Lagos has reserved ruling until June 9, 2026, on the bail application of social media personality Blessing CEO, who is facing allegations of obtaining N36 million under false pretence.
The EFCC accused her of receiving money from a petitioner over a property transaction involving a building she allegedly did not own. During proceedings, an EFCC investigator presented bank records, property documents, and witness statements said to be linked to the case.
The defence requested bail on liberal terms, while the prosecution opposed the application, arguing that the defendant previously failed to honour invitations from the Commission.
Justice D.I. Dipeolu admitted several documents and statements into evidence despite objections from the defence regarding how the statements were obtained.
The case was adjourned to June 9 for the bail ruling and June 22, 2026, for continuation of trial.
