This week are my daughters first test, so they were given their notes to take home for revision.
Today, they will be writing maths and Basic science and technology. When I looked at what they were taught and was revising with my older daughter, she told me that she doesn't know what a plaster, thermometer, cotton wool, bandage and antiseptic are.
Hmmn. I knew learning goes with seeing. Infact, Aristotle said, 'Knowledge is empirical'.
Then, I quickly went in and brought out some of these things we have that can be kept in first aid box to administer immediate care.
Guess what? Learning was fun with her.
Dear You,
Learning goes with what a child can see, feel, touch, smell and hear.
If a child doesn't understand certain knowledge, it could be that they have never seen, or heard about it. So, they are lost to that idea.
