Hot take: sometimes the printer is not the problem.

Your AI-assisted design looks perfect on screen, then it prints dark, flat or completely different… and everybody starts blaming somebody. 😂

But before you blame the printer or AI, check the colour, resolution, details and how the file was prepared.

That’s what Part 2 breaks down.

Printers are saying AI designs don’t print well.

Designers are saying the printer is the problem.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle, one innocent JPEG is fighting for its life. 😂

The truth is, AI is not automatically the problem. Most times, the real issue is how the file was prepared for print.

In Part 1, I’m sharing the first two things every designer should check before sending AI-assisted artwork to a printer.

If you design with AI, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Canva or anything in between, this one is for you.

I have designed logos for a lot of small businesses, and it’s almost always the same five mistakes. The worst one? People paying someone to “design” a logo that’s just clip art pulled off Google. Nobody tells them the file is blurry, or that the colours completely fall apart in black and white.

Your logo is the first thing a customer sees before they even hear your name or your price. If it’s not doing its job, it’s quietly costing you trust and clients.

Swipe through, check your own logo against these five, and tag someone who needs to see this.

If you spot one or two mistakes in your own logo, don’t panic, comment “AUDIT” and I’ll take a look, free.

Dear Printer, If you noticed that the quality of the file you were sent is bad, Just STOP.🛑
Show the Designer that you care about the Job as much he does.

Show professionalism.
That may be the reason you are recommended for the next big gig.

I’ve been quiet on here since April. Not because I stopped designing, I was buried in client work at Keadilan and didn’t want to post just to post.
I’m back with something I’ve wanted to talk about for a while: print design. Not just tips for making things look good on a screen, but what actually happens when a design leaves the computer and becomes a business card in someone’s hand, a banner on a wall, a package on a shelf.
Most designers only talk about the digital side. I want to close that gap.
Still sharing the usual design lessons too. Just adding a layer most people skip.
