There's no doubt that the temperature in Daura these days is unfriendly and the environment is slowly becoming hostile. The excess heat is unbearable and life( especially in the afternoon) is becoming increasingly difficult.
The temperature sometimes reaches a touring point of 41/42⁰C in the noon. Forests have almost been cleaned out and urban development has led to cutting down of trees in order to make way for roads without replacing them with new ones.
All of us have been affected as a result and we continue to lament without taking action. A single tree planted and taken care of until it has grown can contribute to environmental conservation by providing shelter and reducing the heat by cooling the environment through transpiration.
We would continue to advocate for tree planting, as it plays a role in combating climate change in reducing the excess heat and conserving the atmospheric humidity.
Climate change is here. We need to act in order to protect the environment.
