Want to Move to Canada, Do You Have These 4 Requirements?

Funny! how the internet is replete with all sorts of promises on relocating to Canada but with little emphasis on these four things.

Yet these four things are the most important requirements.

Yes, there are other additional stuffs that might increase ones chances but they have little significance on the bottom line.

So, what are these four things that determine eligibility for Canada PR?

1. Education – a post secondary education which could be NCE, OND, HND, BSc etc

2. Age – actually, there is no age limit but favorable age is between age 22 and 45

3. Work Experience – you are required to have atleast one year work experience

4. Language proficient – ability to speak and write seamlessly in English or French and this is usually tested with a test of English exam (IELTS) or test of French exam (TEF)

These are the four major things that will be used to profile you in the application pool – the stronger your profile, the better your chance with coming to Canada as a Permanent Resident.

Other additional things that could help your profiling include: previous Canadian education, job offer in Canada, relative in Canada etc

So the pertinent question is,

Do you have these four things?

If you don’t, don’t bother to waste your money on anyone because it will end in story – the one that touch!

Six (6) most popular immigration routes to relocate to Canada

The third, fourth and fifth are most suitable to average Nigerians…

Trying to relocate to , the problem is, there are too many information but little clarity!

That, my dear, is very frustrating and you’ll understand my point better if you have ever tried to move to Canada.

I call it information overdose – it’s a ridiculous something.

To help you with some clarity, below are five most popular routes to Canada and what exactly they are:

1. LMIA Work Visa: to have this, you’ll need to be employed by a Canadian employer right from your home country. The problem with this, is that except you are an exceptionally skilled person, it will be difficult (almost impossible) to be employed by Canadian employer from your home country.

2. Investor : this is basically for high net-worth individual who have lots of money to invest into Canada economy. If you are not very rich, don’t bother about this route.

3. Study Permit: as the name suggest, this requires that you come to study in any of the Canadian higher institutions; it could be expensive by the way if you are not able to clinch a scholarship. And again, it is actually not a direct way to relocate to Canada permanently. It only gives you privileges that can help you transition into a permanent resident easily. It thus have a higher success rate compared

4. Express Entry: this is a skilled based immigration program where applicants are assessed based on the strength of their profile (such as age, education, work experience, English or French proficiency etc). It is the most popular immigration program and anyone can leverage it to successfully move to Canada if the right thing is done.

5. Provincial Nominee: this particular program requires that a particular province in Canada nominate you to come. Usually, you will need to have a tie with the province before you can be nominated. And when I say ties, I mean: previous education, family member or friend living in the province, previously worked in the province etc

6. Family Sponsorship: this involves that a spouse or parent that currently lives in Canada as a permanent resident or citizen sponsors you into coming to Canada. If a parent is to sponsor their child, it is required that the child is equal or less than 22 (there are few exceptions by the way).

And there you have the six most popular routes into Canada – there are several other routes but most of them are out of reach for people from third world countries.

So beware of what information you believe out there.

Btw, have you tried any of these routes before and what was the outcome?
