First I am proud of all the designers fr standing up to change and I am also proud that we spoke in one voice regardless of opinions and congratulations to the winner…your effort was not in vain.
But what happens to the others? The ones that were seen but not vetted? And the one thay never even saw day light because it was lost in the large crowd? What happens to the ones with even way better designs? Because there were many amazing stuff I was wowed for.
Exposure is a risk taking adventure that should lead somewhere else it’s just another deadbeat, time wasting contest. While I do not critics people who have done this contest, I want to say this…the same way they say do not jump on every design trend becaise real brands don’t build on it…thats the same way you shouldn’t jump on every contest. Compete for gold, compete for value, compete with honour and respect. That’s the real winning.
I end with this…listen to the noise, see why they are making the noise, and don’t make mistakes people have already made when you can avoid it. That’s why people have mentors
