MOUNTAIN MOVERS

Faith That Confronts the Impossible

Powerful Sunday Service Sermon

Delivered by Pastor Peter Uwaifo

Main Text

Mark 11:23 (KJV)

> “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Supporting Scriptures

Zechariah 4:7

Matthew 17:20

Matthew 21:21–22

Isaiah 54:2–3

Joshua 1:9

Psalm 18:29

Romans 8:31

Philippians 4:13

2 Corinthians 5:7

Hebrews 11:1–6

1 John 5:4

Beloved, there are seasons in life when everything appears to be moving forward, and there are also seasons when you encounter something that refuses to move.

You pray, but the situation remains.

You fast, but the door remains closed.

You work, but progress seems slow.

You believe God, yet there is a mountain standing between where you are and where God is taking you.

But today, I have come with a word from the Lord:

YOUR MOUNTAIN WILL MOVE!

The presence of a mountain does not mean the absence of God.

Sometimes God allows you to encounter a mountain because He wants to reveal the dimension of faith He has deposited inside you.

David had Goliath.

Moses had the Red Sea.

Joshua had Jericho.

Elijah had the prophets of Baal.

Daniel had the lions.

The three Hebrew boys had the fiery furnace.

And Jesus told His disciples that mountains can move when faith is exercised according to God's will.

Mark 11:23 says:

> “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed...”

Notice that Jesus did not say, “Run away from the mountain.”

He said, “Speak to the mountain.”

There are some battles you cannot negotiate with. You must confront them by faith.

1. WHAT IS A MOUNTAIN?

A mountain represents an obstacle, resistance, limitation, opposition, or impossibility standing between you and God's purpose.

A mountain can be:

A persistent financial limitation.

A family problem.

A prolonged delay.

A spiritual battle.

A destructive habit.

A closed door.

Fear.

Discouragement.

Repeated failure.

Opposition to your destiny.

A situation human strength cannot solve.

But understand this:

A mountain may be big, but God is bigger.

Jeremiah 32:27 says:

> “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

The size of your mountain does not determine the size of your future.

2. EVERY MOUNTAIN HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE

One of the greatest mistakes people make is believing that because a problem has lasted for a long time, it must remain forever.

No!

The fact that Israel stood before the Red Sea did not mean the Red Sea was permanent.

The fact that Jericho had stood for years did not mean Joshua could not bring it down.

The fact that Lazarus had been dead for four days did not mean resurrection power had expired.

John 11:43–44 shows Jesus calling Lazarus out of the grave.

What has resisted you for years can change in one divine moment.

Psalm 30:5 says:

> “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Your night has a morning.

Your wilderness has an exit.

Your battle has a victory.

Your mountain has an expiration date.

3. GOD DID NOT CREATE YOU TO BE A MOUNTAIN OBSERVER

Some people spend their entire lives talking about their mountains but never confronting them.

They say:

“My family has always been like this.”

“Nobody in my family has ever succeeded.”

“This business can never work.”

“I can never overcome this.”

“This problem is too big.”

But faith changes your language.

David looked at Goliath differently from everyone else.

1 Samuel 17:45 says:

> “Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear... but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts.”

Everyone else saw the size of Goliath.

David saw the greatness of God.

Your perspective determines how you respond to your mountain.

If you magnify the mountain, you will become afraid.

If you magnify God, your faith will rise.

4. MOUNTAIN MOVERS ARE PEOPLE OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:1 says:

> “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Faith does not deny the existence of the mountain.

Faith declares that the mountain is not greater than God.

The mountain may be real.

The doctor's report may be real.

The financial challenge may be real.

The opposition may be real.

But God's Word is greater than the situation.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says:

> “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Sight says, “It is impossible.”

Faith says, “With God all things are possible.”

5. MOUNTAIN MOVERS KNOW THE POWER OF GOD'S WORD

Jesus said:

> “It is written...”

throughout His temptation in Matthew 4.

He defeated Satan with the Word.

The Word of God is not decoration for your Bible.

It is a weapon for spiritual warfare.

Hebrews 4:12 says:

> “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword...”

When your mountain says:

“You cannot succeed,”

you answer:

Philippians 4:13:

> “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

When fear says:

“You are alone,”

you answer:

Isaiah 41:10:

> “Fear thou not; for I am with thee.”

When the enemy says:

“You will fail,”

you answer:

Romans 8:37:

> “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

Mountain movers speak God's Word over their circumstances.

6. MOUNTAIN MOVERS DO NOT RUN FROM DIFFICULTIES

David did not run away from Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:48 says:

> “And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.”

Notice that David ran toward the battle.

Why?

Because he understood that the battle was an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power.

Sometimes the thing you are trying to avoid is the very platform God will use to announce your next level.

The Red Sea became a testimony.

Goliath became a promotion.

The lions' den became Daniel's testimony.

The prison became Joseph's pathway to the palace.

Your battle is not necessarily the end of your story. It may be the doorway to your testimony.

7. SOME MOUNTAINS MOVE THROUGH PRAYER

Jesus emphasized prayer and faith.

Matthew 17:20–21 teaches about faith and prayer in dealing with difficult spiritual challenges.

Prayer is not a last resort.

Prayer is a weapon.

Prayer changes situations.

Prayer changes people.

Prayer changes environments.

Prayer changes us.

Jeremiah 33:3 says:

> “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

There are dimensions of God's power you will discover only when you learn to pray deeply.

8. SOME MOUNTAINS MOVE THROUGH OBEDIENCE

Faith without obedience is incomplete.

Consider Joshua.

God gave him instructions concerning Jericho.

Joshua had to obey before he saw the walls fall.

Joshua 6:20 says:

> “And the wall fell down flat...”

God gave the instruction.

Joshua obeyed.

The wall fell.

Sometimes you are asking God to move a mountain while God is waiting for you to obey an instruction He has already given you.

Delayed obedience can become delayed manifestation.

If God says forgive—obey.

If God says pray—pray.

If God says give—obey.

If God says go—go.

If God says stop—stop.

If God says start—start.

Your obedience can position you for your breakthrough.

9. MOUNTAIN MOVERS UNDERSTAND THAT GOD CAN TURN MOUNTAINS INTO PLAINS

This is one of the most powerful scriptures for this message.

Zechariah 4:7 (KJV):

> “Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain...”

God did not tell Zerubbabel to become discouraged because of the mountain.

He declared that the mountain would become a plain.

I prophesy over somebody today:

Your great mountain shall become a plain!

That problem that looks impossible shall receive divine intervention.

That door that has refused to open shall open by the power of God.

That situation that has mocked your faith shall become a testimony.

That prolonged delay shall become a divine appointment.

10. MOUNTAIN MOVERS DO NOT GIVE UP

Galatians 6:9 says:

> “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The enemy wants you to quit before your breakthrough arrives.

Don't quit praying.

Don't quit believing.

Don't quit serving God.

Don't quit obeying.

Don't quit building.

Don't quit pursuing your God-given assignment.

You may be closer to your breakthrough than you realize.

Joseph's prison was closer to his palace than his brothers' house was.

David's wilderness was closer to his throne than Bethlehem was.

Sometimes the darkest part of the journey is immediately before the manifestation.

11. JESUS CHRIST IS OUR GREATEST EXAMPLE

Jesus faced temptation.

Jesus faced rejection.

Jesus faced betrayal.

Jesus faced persecution.

Jesus faced the cross.

But He never abandoned His assignment.

Hebrews 12:2 says:

> “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith...”

He endured the cross because He could see beyond it.

There was a resurrection beyond the crucifixion.

There was glory beyond the suffering.

There was victory beyond the battle.

Never judge your future by your present pain.

God may be taking you through something because He is taking you somewhere.

12. YOU ARE CALLED TO BE A MOUNTAIN MOVER

Jesus did not say mountain-moving faith belonged only to pastors, apostles, or prophets.

Mark 11:23 says:

> “Whosoever shall say...”

That includes you.

You can pray.

You can believe.

You can stand on God's Word.

You can confront fear.

You can overcome limitations.

You can walk in obedience.

You can become everything God has called you to become.

1 John 5:4 says:

> “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

WHAT KIND OF MOUNTAIN ARE YOU FACING?

Perhaps your mountain is financial.

God can provide.

Philippians 4:19:

> “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Perhaps your mountain is fear.

2 Timothy 1:7:

> “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Perhaps your mountain is family trouble.

Stand on God's promises and pray for restoration.

Perhaps your mountain is failure.

Remember:

Micah 7:8:

> “When I fall, I shall arise.”

Perhaps your mountain is discouragement.

Remember:

Psalm 46:1:

> “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Perhaps your mountain is the fear of the future.

Remember:

Jeremiah 29:11:

> “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord...”

THE MOUNTAIN-MOVING PRINCIPLE

Today, I want you to remember five things:

1. SEE GOD BIGGER THAN THE MOUNTAIN

Psalm 34:3

> “O magnify the Lord with me...”

2. SPEAK GOD'S WORD

Mark 11:23

Your words must agree with God's promises.

3. PRAY WITH FAITH

James 5:16

> “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

4. OBEY GOD

Deuteronomy 28:1–2

Obedience positions you for God's blessing.

5. NEVER GIVE UP

Galatians 6:9

Your harvest has an appointed season.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

Pastor Peter Uwaifo:

Lift your hands and receive this Word by faith!

I declare in the name of Jesus:

Every mountain standing between you and your destiny, MOVE!

Every mountain of delay, MOVE!

Every mountain of disappointment, MOVE!

Every mountain of rejection, MOVE!

Every mountain resisting your progress, MOVE!

According to Zechariah 4:7, your great mountain shall become a plain.

According to Isaiah 54:2–3, your territory shall be enlarged.

According to Psalm 18:29, you shall run through a troop and leap over a wall.

According to Philippians 4:13, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

According to Romans 8:31, if God is for you, nobody can successfully stand against you.

According to Isaiah 43:19, God is making a way where there seems to be no way.

I declare:

You are moving forward!

You are breaking barriers!

You are crossing boundaries!

You are entering new territories!

You are overcoming obstacles!

You are becoming a testimony!

The mountain will not bury you.

The mountain will not stop you.

The mountain will not determine your future.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

AMEN!

ALTAR CALL — THE GREATEST MOUNTAIN

Beloved, there is one mountain that human strength cannot remove: the mountain of sin separating humanity from God.

Money cannot remove it.

Education cannot remove it.

Connections cannot remove it.

Religion cannot remove it.

Only Jesus Christ can save.

John 14:6 says:

> “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, today can become your greatest new beginning.

“Lord Jesus, I come before You today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me. I believe that You died for me and rose again. Come into my heart and become my Lord and Savior. Help me to live for You and follow Your Word. From today, I belong to You. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.”

CONCLUSION

Church, don't be intimidated by the mountain.

Look at the God who created the mountain.

The mountain may be high, but God is higher.

The battle may be fierce, but God is stronger.

The problem may be complicated, but God has the answer.

The door may be closed, but God has the key.

The road may be difficult, but God can make a way.

Your assignment is not to worship the mountain.

Your assignment is to trust the Mountain Mover.

Jesus said:

> “Have faith in God.” — Mark 11:22

Therefore, rise in faith.

Pray with confidence.

Speak God's Word.

Walk in obedience.

Refuse to quit.

And step into your testimony.

YOU ARE NOT A MOUNTAIN OBSERVER.

YOU ARE A MOUNTAIN MOVER!

May every mountain before you become a testimony behind you, ein the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

AMEN!

MY MONTH OF DIVINE PERFECTION

Joel 2:25

Hebrews 13:21

INTRODUCTION

Beloved, every new month is a gift from God, but every prophetic season carries a divine agenda. I believe that God has ordained this month to be our Month of Divine Perfection.

Divine perfection means that God steps into every incomplete area of your life and brings it into alignment with His perfect will. It is the season when God repairs what is broken, restores what has been lost, establishes what has been shaken, and completes what has remained unfinished.

Our God is a God of excellence. He does not leave His work unfinished. From creation to redemption, everything He does reflects His perfection.

This month, every unfinished testimony shall be completed. Every delayed promise shall become a reality. Every unanswered prayer shall receive divine attention.

I declare over your life that this month shall mark the beginning of your greatest testimonies.

WHAT IS DIVINE PERFECTION?

Divine perfection is God's supernatural work of bringing His plans, promises, and purposes to their complete fulfillment in your life.

It is when God's mercy removes every imperfection and His power establishes His perfect will.

Psalm 138:8 says:

"The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me."

That means God is interested in everything that concerns you—your family, health, career, ministry, business, finances, and spiritual life.

1. DIVINE PERFECTION BEGINS WITH A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Before God perfects your circumstances, He wants to perfect your relationship with Him.

Genesis 17:1 says:

"I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

God called Abraham into a deeper walk before releasing greater promises.

Your greatest blessing is not money—it is walking with God.

Matthew 6:33 reminds us:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

When God becomes your priority, He orders every other area of your life.

2. DIVINE PERFECTION TURNS SMALL BEGINNINGS INTO GREAT ENDINGS

Job 8:7 declares:

"Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase."

God delights in taking insignificant beginnings and producing extraordinary outcomes.

David began as a shepherd.

Joseph began as a slave.

The disciples began as ordinary fishermen.

Yet God perfected their destinies.

Never despise where you are today.

Zechariah 4:10 says:

"Who hath despised the day of small things?"

Your future is greater than your present.

3. DIVINE PERFECTION RESTORES LOST YEARS

Joel 2:25 says:

"I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten."

Perhaps you have lost years through mistakes, delays, disappointments, or hardship.

The good news is that God is the Master Restorer.

He restores:

Lost opportunities.

Lost peace.

Lost relationships.

Lost finances.

Lost spiritual passion.

God can accomplish in one year what seemed impossible in ten.

4. DIVINE PERFECTION CHANGES YOUR SEASON

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says:

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

No season lasts forever.

There is a time to sow.

There is a time to reap.

There is a time to cry.

There is a time to laugh.

This month, your season of waiting is giving way to your season of fulfillment.

Isaiah 60:22 declares:

"A little one shall become a thousand... I the Lord will hasten it in his time."

5. DIVINE PERFECTION MAKES ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD

Romans 8:28 says:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God."

God does not waste your pain.

He uses trials to produce testimonies.

He uses setbacks to prepare you for comebacks.

Joseph declared in Genesis 50:20:

"Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good."

The very thing that looked like defeat became the pathway to his destiny.

6. DIVINE PERFECTION REQUIRES PATIENCE

James 1:4 says:

"But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

Many believers want instant results, but God often develops our character before He delivers our blessing.

Do not abandon your faith because of delay.

God's calendar is perfect.

His timing never fails.

7. JESUS CHRIST IS THE SOURCE OF DIVINE PERFECTION

Hebrews 13:21 declares:

"Make you perfect in every good work to do his will."

Everything we need for a victorious life is found in Christ.

Through His death and resurrection:

Our sins are forgiven.

Our lives are transformed.

Our hope is secured.

Our future is established.

Jesus is the perfect Savior, and He is able to perfect everything concerning us.

HOW TO EXPERIENCE DIVINE PERFECTION

1. Trust God's Word

Proverbs 3:5–6

2. Live a Life of Prayer

Jeremiah 33:3

3. Walk in Obedience

Deuteronomy 28:1–2

4. Keep Praising God

Psalm 34:1

5. Remain Faithful

Galatians 6:9

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

This month, the Lord shall perfect everything that concerns you.

Every unfinished project shall be completed.

Every delayed miracle shall manifest.

Every closed door shall open.

Every financial struggle shall give way to abundance.

Every sickness shall bow to the healing power of Jesus Christ.

Every family crisis shall be turned into peace.

Every business shall flourish.

Every ministry shall expand.

Every tear shall become a testimony.

Every mountain before you shall become a plain.

According to Psalm 138:8, the Lord will perfect all that concerns you.

According to Philippians 1:6, He will finish the good work He has begun in you.

According to Joel 2:25, your lost years shall be restored.

According to Isaiah 60:22, your blessings shall come at God's appointed time.

You shall not leave this month the same way you entered it.

You shall sing songs of victory.

You shall testify of God's faithfulness.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen!

As you walk with Him in faith, obedience, and prayer, expect divine completion, supernatural restoration, uncommon favor, and lasting settlement.

This is your Month of Divine Perfection. The Lord will perfect everything that concerns you, and your testimony will bring glory to His name.

In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

SUNDAY SERVICE SERMON

Theme: DIVINE PERFECTION

Title: "When God Finishes What He Started"

Main Text:

Book of Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ."

Supporting Scriptures:

Psalms 138:8

Book of Isaiah 46:10

Book of Jeremiah 29:11

Epistle to the Romans 8:28

Book of Ecclesiastes 3:11

Beloved, one of the greatest sources of discouragement is living with unfinished expectations.

Many people have unfinished dreams.

Some have unfinished businesses.

Others have unfinished ministries.

Some have unfinished marriages.

Others have unfinished testimonies.

They ask themselves,

"Will God ever complete what He promised?"

Today I have come with good news.

The God you serve never abandons His work.

He never begins a project He cannot finish.

He never makes a promise He cannot fulfill.

He never calls a man without providing the grace to complete the assignment.

The Bible says in Philippians 1:6:

"He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion."

If God started it...

He will finish it.

1. God Is the God of Completion

Everything God does reflects excellence.

When God created the heavens and the earth, He finished His work.

When Noah entered the ark, God completed His promise.

When Israel stood before the Red Sea, God finished what He started by bringing them safely through.

Our God is Alpha and Omega.

He is the Beginning and the End.

He is not the God of abandoned destinies.

Psalm 138:8 declares:

"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me."

That means:

Every unfinished blessing...

Every delayed miracle...

Every unanswered prayer...

Every forgotten prophecy...

God shall perfect them.

2. God Uses Process Before Perfection

Many people love miracles.

Very few appreciate process.

But every great testimony passes through preparation.

Joseph experienced the pit before the palace.

David guarded sheep before leading a nation.

Moses spent forty years in the wilderness before leading Israel.

Even Jesus spent years preparing before beginning His public ministry.

Never despise your process.

Your process is God's classroom.

Your delay is developing strength.

Your hidden season is producing maturity.

If God is taking His time...

It is because He is preparing something greater than you imagined.

3. Divine Perfection Requires Patience

One of the fruits of faith is patience.

Many people quit just before God moves.

Abraham waited.

Sarah waited.

Hannah waited.

The disciples waited in the upper room.

Yet none of them waited in vain.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says:

"He has made everything beautiful in its time."

Notice...

Not your time.

His time.

God's clock never runs late.

4. Your Setback Is Not Your Conclusion

Somebody listening today feels like life has gone backwards.

Maybe your business failed.

Maybe your relationship ended.

Maybe opportunities disappeared.

But hear this prophetic truth:

God specializes in turning setbacks into setups.

Joseph's prison became his pathway to the palace.

David's battlefield became his platform for greatness.

Blind Bartimaeus' cry became his miracle.

Lazarus' grave became the place where God's glory was revealed.

Your setback is only a chapter.

It is not the entire story.

5. God's Mercy Completes What Human Ability Cannot

There are things education cannot do.

There are doors experience cannot open.

There are miracles hard work alone cannot produce.

This is where God's mercy speaks.

Psalm 138:8 says:

"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever."

It is mercy that qualifies the unqualified.

It is mercy that restores lost years.

It is mercy that opens impossible doors.

It is mercy that completes unfinished assignments.

Today, may the mercy of God locate you.

6. God Will Surprise You Suddenly

Many breakthroughs happen suddenly.

After years of waiting...

Sarah conceived.

Joseph became Prime Minister in one day.

David moved from shepherd to king.

Esther moved from orphan to queen.

The man at the pool of Bethesda waited thirty-eight years.

Yet one encounter with Jesus changed everything.

Do not judge your future by today's circumstances.

One divine encounter can rewrite your story forever.

Prophetic Declaration

Lift your hands wherever you are.

I decree and declare:

Every unfinished testimony in your life shall be completed.

Every delayed promise shall manifest.

Every closed door shall open.

Every lost opportunity shall be restored.

Every dry season shall give way to abundance.

Every battle that has followed you for years ends today.

The God of Divine Perfection shall perfect your family.

He shall perfect your health.

He shall perfect your finances.

He shall perfect your ministry.

He shall perfect your calling.

He shall perfect everything that concerns you.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Beloved...

Never give up because something looks incomplete.

God is still writing your story.

The Author has not reached the final chapter.

Trust Him.

Wait on Him.

Obey Him.

Walk with Him.

And very soon...

People who laughed at your delay...

Will celebrate your divine completion.

For the God who began the work...

Will surely finish it.

If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, today is your opportunity. The greatest work God begins is the transformation of the human heart. Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and allow Him to perfect His purpose in your life.

Declare this boldly with faith:

"The Lord will perfect everything that concerns me. Every promise of God over my life shall be fulfilled. I will finish well, I will fulfill my destiny, and I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. In Jesus' name. Amen!"
