Chapter Thirteen

Asmah walked into the office, feeling a sense of determination. She had been thinking a lot about Aliyah and Rashid's struggles, and she was determined to do something to help.

She walked over to Junaid's office and knocked on the door. "Assalamu alaikum," she said, smiling.

Junaid looked up from his computer, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Wa alaikum as-salam," he replied. "What brings you here today, Asmah?"

Asmah took a deep breath, explaining the situation with Aliyah and Rashid. Junaid listened intently, his expression growing more and more serious.

When Asmah finished speaking, Junaid nodded thoughtfully. "I think I might be able to help," he said. "I have some connections in the business community. Maybe I can help Rashid find a new job."

Asmah's eyes widened in surprise, and she felt a surge of gratitude towards Junaid. "That would be amazing," she said. "Thank you so much."

Junaid smiled, his eyes warm with kindness. "It's no problem at all," he said. "We have to look out for each other, after all."

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of admiration for Junaid's compassion and generosity. She knew that she had been lucky to meet him, and she was grateful for his presence in her life.

Over the next few days, Junaid worked tirelessly to help Rashid find a new job. He made phone calls, sent emails, and even set up interviews.

And finally, after weeks of struggling, Rashid received an offer for a new job. He was overjoyed, and he thanked Junaid profusely for his help.

Asmah was thrilled to see her friends' struggles come to an end, and she was grateful to Junaid for his role in making it happen. She knew that she would never forget his kindness and generosity, and she was determined to repay him in any way that she could.
*****

As the news of Rashid's new job spread, Aliyah and Rashid's friends and family were overjoyed. They had been worried about the couple's struggles, and they were thrilled to see them getting back on their feet.

Asmah was particularly happy, knowing that she had played a small part in helping her friends. She had introduced Junaid to Rashid, and Junaid had taken it from there.

Junaid, however, was characteristically humble about his role in helping Rashid. "It was nothing," he said, when Asmah thanked him. "I'm just glad I could help."

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of admiration for Junaid's kindness and humility. She was grateful to have him as a friend and colleague, and she knew that she could always count on him to be there for her.

As the days went by, Asmah found herself growing closer and closer to Junaid. They would meet for coffee or lunch, discussing everything from work to their personal lives.

Asmah felt like she had found a true friend in Junaid, someone who understood her and supported her. And she knew that she would always be grateful for his presence in her life.

But as their friendship deepened, Asmah couldn't help but wonder if there was something more between them. She had feelings for Junaid, feelings that went beyond friendship.

And she couldn't help but wonder if Junaid felt the same way.

Chapter 12

Asmah walked into the conference room, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had been looking forward to this team meeting all week, and she was eager to discuss her project with Junaid and the rest of the team.

Junaid was already seated at the table, his laptop open in front of him. He smiled as Asmah entered, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of ease with Junaid. "Assalamu alaikum," she said, taking a seat across from him.

Junaid nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "Wa alaikum as-salam," he replied.

The rest of the team filed in, and they began to discuss Asmah's project. Junaid was impressed by her ideas and insights, and he offered valuable suggestions and guidance.

As the meeting progressed, Asmah found herself feeling more and more comfortable with Junaid. She was impressed by his intelligence and expertise, and she appreciated his kind and respectful demeanor.

But as the meeting came to a close, Asmah's colleague, Amira, pulled her aside. "Asmah, can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked, her voice low and serious.

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of curiosity. "What's up, Amira?" she asked.

Amira hesitated, looking around nervously. "I just wanted to warn you about Junaid," she said. "I've heard rumors that he's looking for a wife, and I don't want you to get hurt."

Asmah's eyes widened in surprise, and she felt a flutter in her chest. She hadn't considered the possibility that Junaid might be interested in her romantically.

But as she thought about it, Asmah realized that she wasn't interested in Junaid in that way. She valued their professional relationship, and she didn't want to compromise it.

"Thanks for warning me, Amira," Asmah said, smiling. "But I think I can handle myself."

Amira nodded, looking relieved. "I just want to make sure you're okay," she said.

Asmah smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's concern. "I appreciate that, Amira," she said. "But I think I've got this one covered."

Asmah walked back to her desk, feeling a sense of clarity and purpose. She was determined to maintain a professional relationship with Junaid, and she was confident that she could do so.

But as she sat down at her desk, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about Junaid's personal life. Was he really looking for a wife? And if so, what kind of woman was he looking for?

Asmah pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on her work instead. She had a lot to do, and she didn't want to let her personal curiosity get in the way.

Just as she was getting into her work, Asmah's phone rang. She picked it up, expecting it to be one of her colleagues or maybe even her mother.

But to her surprise, it was Junaid on the other end. "Asmah, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said, his voice warm and friendly.

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of pleasure at the unexpected call. "Not at all, Junaid," she replied. "I was just getting back to work."

Junaid chuckled. "I'm glad I didn't interrupt anything important," he said. "I was just calling to follow up on our meeting earlier. I wanted to make sure you had everything you needed to move forward with your project."

Asmah felt a sense of appreciation for Junaid's consideration. "Thank you, Junaid," she said. "I really appreciate your support."

Junaid smiled, his voice warm and friendly. "You're welcome, Asmah," he said. "I'm always here to help."

As they wrapped up their conversation and said their goodbyes, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for Junaid's kindness and support.

As the days went by, Asmah found herself growing more and more comfortable with Junaid. They would often meet to discuss her project, and she would leave their meetings feeling inspired and motivated.

But despite her growing comfort with Junaid, Asmah couldn't help but notice the struggles of those around her. Her friends, Aliyah and Rashid, were going through a tough time in their marriage.

Aliyah had been feeling overwhelmed with work and taking care of their two young children, and Rashid had been struggling to find a new job after being laid off from his previous one. The stress and tension had been taking a toll on their relationship.

Asmah had been trying to be supportive, inviting Aliyah over for coffee and listening to her vent about her frustrations. But she knew that she couldn't fix the problems in their marriage on her own.

One day, as Asmah was leaving the office, she ran into Junaid in the parking lot. "Asmah, how are you?" he asked, smiling.

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of warmth towards him. "I'm good, Junaid," she said. "Just worried about my friends, Aliyah and Rashid. They're going through a tough time in their marriage."

Junaid's expression turned serious, and he nodded thoughtfully. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said. "Marriage can be challenging, but it's also a beautiful blessing from Allah."

Chapter Eleven

Asmah walked into the meeting room, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had been looking forward to this meeting with Junaid all day.

As they began to discuss Asmah's project, she was struck by Junaid's insight and expertise. He asked thoughtful questions and offered valuable suggestions, and Asmah found herself feeling more and more impressed by him.

As the meeting progressed, Asmah couldn't help but notice the way Junaid's eyes sparkled when he smiled, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. She felt a flutter in her chest, but she quickly pushed it aside.

This was a professional meeting, after all. Asmah was determined to keep her focus on the project, and not let her personal feelings get in the way.

But as they wrapped up the meeting and Junaid stood up to leave, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. She had enjoyed their discussion immensely, and she was sad to see it come to an end.

"Thank you for your time, Junaid," she said, smiling up at him.

Junaid smiled back, his eyes warm and friendly. "The pleasure was mine, Asmah," he said. "I'm looking forward to seeing your project come to life."

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude and appreciation. "Me too," she said. "Me too."Here

As Junaid walked out of the meeting room, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the unexpected connection she had felt with him. She had never met anyone like him before - someone who was both kind and intelligent, with a passion for making a positive impact.

As she sat back down at her desk, Asmah found herself thinking about Junaid more and more. She wondered what he was like outside of work, and whether he had any hobbies or interests that they might have in common.

Just as she was starting to get lost in thought, Asmah's phone rang.

"I was just thinking, maybe we could grab coffee sometime and continue our discussion about your project?"

Asmah's heart skipped a beat as she considered the invitation. She had never been one to turn down an opportunity, and she was eager to learn more from Junaid.

But then she remembered her friend's advice to always be cautious and mindful of her interactions with men. Asmah hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say.

"I'd love to discuss my project further with you, Junaid," she said finally. "But maybe we could do it in a group setting, like a team meeting?"

Junaid laughed. "You're a clever one, Asmah," he said. "I like that. Okay, a team meeting it is. I'll send you a calendar invite."

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude. "Thank you, Junaid," she said. "I'm looking forward to it."

Chapter Ten:

Asmah was sitting at her desk, working on a project, when she received a surprise visit from Junaid.

Asmah looked up, startled, as Junaid appeared in the doorway. "Assalamu alaikum," he said, smiling.

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of pleasure at the unexpected visit. "Wa alaikum as-salam," she replied.

Junaid walked over to her desk, his eyes scanning the room. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important," he said.

Asmah shook her head. "Not at all," she said. "I'm just working on a project."

Junaid nodded, his eyes lighting up with interest. "I'd love to hear more about it," he said.

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. "It's a marketing campaign for a new product," she explained. "I'm trying to come up with a strategy to reach our target audience."

Junaid listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and offering insightful suggestions. Asmah felt a sense of gratitude for his guidance and support.

As they talked, Asmah couldn't help but notice the way Junaid's eyes sparkled when he smiled, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. She felt a flutter in her chest, but she quickly pushed it aside.

After a few minutes of discussion, Junaid stood up to leave. "Thank you for sharing your project with me, Asmah," he said. "I'm looking forward to seeing the final result."

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of appreciation. "Thank you, Junaid," she said. "I'm glad I could share it with you."

As Junaid walked out of the room, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Asmah watched as Junaid walked out of the room, feeling a sense of wonder at the unexpected visit. She couldn't believe how much she had enjoyed talking to him, and how much she had learned from his insights and suggestions.

As she sat back down at her desk, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had no idea what the future held, but she was eager to find out.

Just as she was starting to focus on her work again, Asmah's phone rang. She picked it up, expecting it to be one of her colleagues or maybe even her mother.

But to her surprise, it was Junaid on the other end. "Asmah, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said, his voice warm and friendly.

Junaid chuckled. "I'm glad I didn't interrupt anything important," he said. "I was just thinking, maybe we could discuss your project further over lunch?"

A Humbling Encounter: My Experience in a Maruwa Yesterday

Yesterday, after attending Jummah prayers, I found myself in a Maruwa, a commercial tricycle commonly used for transportation in Nigeria. As I settled into the vehicle, I couldn't help but notice the diverse group of people around me.

The Maruwa was filled with individuals from different walks of life, each with their own unique stories and struggles. There was a young mother trying to soothe her crying baby, an elderly man clutching his prayer mat, and a group of lively students heading home from school.

As we navigated through the busy streets, I struck up a conversation with the driver, who shared with me his daily struggles and challenges. He spoke about the difficulties of making ends meet, the long hours on the road, and the constant stress of dealing with difficult passengers.

Despite the hardships, the driver's face lit up with a warm smile as he spoke about his family and his hopes for a better future. His resilience and positivity were truly inspiring, and I found myself feeling grateful for the encounter.

As I disembarked from the Maruwa, I couldn't help but reflect on the experience. It was a poignant reminder of the importance of empathy and compassion in our daily lives. We often get caught up in our own struggles and forget that everyone around us is fighting their own battles.

Chapter Nine

A month had passed since Asmah's meeting with Junaid, and she had been working tirelessly on the marketing project. But today, she was taking a break to attend her friend's wedding ceremony.

Asmah arrived at the wedding venue, dressed in a beautiful blue hijab and a matching abaya. She was greeted by her friend, the bride, who looked stunning in her white wedding dress.

Asmah hugged her friend tightly, feeling happy and excited for her. "Mabrook, my dear!" she said, using the Arabic term for "congratulations."

The bride smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "Thank you, Asmah!" she replied. "I'm so glad you could make it."

As the ceremony began, Asmah took her seat and watched as the bride and groom exchanged their vows. She couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and happiness for the newlyweds.

But as the ceremony progressed, Asmah started to feel a sense of unease. Her friend's cousin, a tall and handsome young man, had been eyeing her from across the room. And to make matters worse, her friend had been trying to link them up all day.

Asmah rolled her eyes good-naturedly as her friend came over to whisper in her ear. "Asmah, I want you to meet my cousin, Amir," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He's really nice, and I think you two would hit it off."

Asmah smiled politely, trying to hide her discomfort. "Nice to meet you, Amir," she said, extending her hand.

Amir smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Nice to meet you too, Asmah," he replied, taking her hand in his.

Asmah felt a spark of electricity as their hands touched, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside. She was not interested in Amir, and she was determined to make that clear.

As the ceremony came to a close, Asmah breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad to have made it through the day without any major awkwardness.

But as she was leaving the wedding venue, Amir caught up to her. "Asmah, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his voice low and serious.

Asmah hesitated, unsure of what to say. But then she remembered her friend's advice to always be kind and polite. "Of course, Amir," she said, smiling politely. "What's up?

Amir smiled, his eyes locked on hers. "I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed meeting you today," he said, his voice sincere. "You seem like a really interesting and intelligent person."

Asmah felt a flutter in her chest, but she quickly pushed it aside. She didn't want to give Amir the wrong idea. "Thank you, Amir," she said, smiling politely. "That's very kind of you to say."

Amir nodded, his eyes still locked on hers. "I mean it," he said. "I'd love to get to know you better."

Asmah felt a sense of unease, unsure of how to respond. She didn't want to be rude, but she also didn't want to give Amir the wrong idea.

Just as she was trying to think of a polite way to let him down, Asmah's friend intervened. "Amir, leave Asmah alone," she said, laughing. "She's not interested."

Asmah felt a surge of gratitude towards her friend, who had saved her from an awkward situation. "Thanks, girl," she said, smiling.

Amir smiled good-naturedly and backed off. "No problem," he said. "I just wanted to try my luck."

Asmah laughed and playfully rolled her eyes. "You're a brave one, I'll give you that," she said.

As the three of them parted ways, Asmah felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was grateful to have escaped an awkward situation, and she was also grateful for her friend's support and protection.

As she walked home, Asmah couldn't help but think about the events of the day. She had attended a beautiful wedding ceremony, and she had also met a handsome but unwanted suitor.
"What a life" She said inwardly and smile

Asmah walked into the meeting room, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. She had been looking forward to this meeting with Junaid all week, and she was eager to learn more about the potential project.

Junaid smiled as she entered, standing up to greet her. "As-salamu alaykum, Asmah," he said, his eyes warm and welcoming.

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of ease with Junaid. "Wa alaykum as-salam," she replied, taking a seat across from him.

Junaid nodded, getting down to business. "Asmah, I wanted to talk to you about a potential project that I think you would be perfect for," he said, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.

Asmah's heart skipped a beat as she leaned forward, eager to hear more. "What kind of project?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Junaid smiled. "I want to launch a new marketing campaign, one that targets the Muslim community and promotes our company's values and mission," he said. "I think you would be the perfect person to lead this project."

Asmah's eyes widened in surprise, feeling a sense of excitement and gratitude. "Alhamdulillah," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I would be honored to lead this project."

Junaid nodded, smiling. "I knew you would be the perfect person for this job," he said. "You have a unique perspective and skillset that would be invaluable to this project."

Asmah felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over her, knowing that she had been given this opportunity. She was eager to get started and make a positive impact.

As the meeting came to a close, Junaid stood up, smiling. "I'll send over the details of the project, and we can discuss further," he said. "But for now, let's just say that I'm excited to have you on board."

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of gratitude and excitement. "Thank you, Junaid," she said. "I won't let you down."

Asmah left the meeting room, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She couldn't wait to get started on the project and make a positive impact.

As she walked back to her desk, Asmah's mind was racing with ideas and possibilities. She was eager to share her thoughts and insights with Junaid and the rest of the team.

Just as she was sitting down at her desk, Asmah's phone rang. It was her best friend, Jamila.

"Assalamu alaikum, girl!" Jamila said, her voice bubbly and enthusiastic. "How's it going?"

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friend's support. "Wa alaikum as-salam," she replied. "It's going great, Alhamdulillah. I just got out of a meeting with Junaid, and he offered me an amazing opportunity."

Jamila squealed with excitement. "Mabrook, Asmah! That's amazing news! Tell me all about it."

Asmah laughed, feeling happy to share her news with her friend. "It's a marketing project that targets the Muslim community," she explained. "Junaid wants me to lead the project, and I'm really excited to get started."

Jamila was silent for a moment, and Asmah could sense her friend's thoughtfulness. "Asmah, this is a great opportunity for you," Jamila said finally. "But remember to stay focused on your goals and priorities. Don't let anything distract you from what's truly important."

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friend's advice. "I will, Jamila," she said. "I promise to stay focused and true to myself."

As they finished their conversation they bid themselves goodbye and head to their destination.

Asmah walked back to her desk, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She couldn't believe how much she had connected with Junaid, and she was eager to see where their conversation would lead.

As she sat down at her desk, Asmah's coworker, Amira, came over to chat. "Hey, Asmah, how's it going?" Amira asked, leaning against the cubicle wall.

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friend's support. "It's going great, Alhamdulillah," she said. "I just had a really inspiring conversation with Junaid, the new CEO."

Amira's eyes widened with interest. "Really?" she asked. "What was he like?"

Asmah thought for a moment, trying to put her thoughts into words. "He was really kind and respectful," she said. "And he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and my work."

Amira nodded, smiling. "That sounds amazing," she said. "I'm so happy for you, Asmah."

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friend's support. "Thanks, Amira," she said. "I'm really excited to see where this new connection leads."

As the day went on, Asmah found herself thinking about Junaid more and more. She couldn't believe how much they had connected, and she was eager to learn more about him.

But as she was leaving the office, Asmah's mother called her, reminding her to stay focused on her goals and not get distracted by unnecessary things.

Asmah nodded to herself, feeling a sense of determination. She knew that she had to stay focused on her goals and priorities, and not let anything get in the way of her success.

Asmah's mother, Hajiya Fatima, was a wise and caring woman who always had her daughter's best interests at heart. She had raised Asmah to be a strong and independent Muslimah, and she was proud of the young woman Asmah had become.

"Asmah, remember to always prioritize your faith and your values," Hajiya Fatima said, her voice filled with love and concern. "Don't let anyone or anything distract you from your goals and aspirations."

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude for her mother's guidance. "I will, Ummi," she said. "I promise to stay focused and true to myself."

Hajiya Fatima smiled, her eyes shining with pride. "I know you will, my dear," she said. "You are a strong and capable Muslimah, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great things."

Asmah felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her as she hung up the phone with her mother. She knew that she had a lot to learn and grow from, but she was grateful for the support and guidance of her loved ones.

The next day, Asmah received an email from Junaid, inviting her to a meeting to discuss a potential project. Asmah's heart skipped a beat as she read the email, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation.

She quickly typed out a response, accepting the invitation and expressing her gratitude for the opportunity. As she hit send, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and optimism for the future.

Chapter Six

Asmah walked into the office cafeteria, looking for a place to sit and grab a cup of coffee. She spotted Junaid sitting at a table by the window, typing away on his laptop.

Asmah felt a flutter in her chest as she approached the table. She hadn't expected to run into Junaid again so soon.

"Mind if I join you?" Asmah asked, trying to sound casual.

Junaid looked up, a smile spreading across his face. "Not at all," he said, closing his laptop. "Please, have a seat."

Asmah sat down, feeling a sense of ease with Junaid that she hadn't expected.

"So, how's your day going?" Junaid asked, leaning back in his chair.

"It's going well, alhamdulillah," Asmah replied. "I'm just trying to get some work done before the day gets busy."

Junaid nodded. "I know the feeling," he said. "Sometimes it feels like there just aren't enough hours in the day."

Asmah laughed. "Exactly," she said. "But I'm trying to stay focused and prioritize my tasks."

Junaid smiled. "That's a great attitude to have," he said. "It's not always easy to stay focused, but it's definitely worth it in the end."

Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of connection with Junaid. "Definitely," she said. "So, how's your day going? Any big plans or projects you're working on?"

Junaid leaned forward, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "Actually, I'm working on a new initiative to increase diversity and inclusion in the company," he said. "It's something I'm really passionate about, and I'm hoping to make a real difference."

Asmah's eyes widened with interest. "That sounds amazing," she said. "I'm really passionate about diversity and inclusion too."

Junaid smiled. "I'm glad to hear that," he said. "It's always great to meet someone who shares my passions."

As they continued to talk, Asmah found herself feeling more and more at ease with Junaid. She couldn't believe how much they had in common, and how easy it was to talk to him.

As they finished their coffee and prepared to leave, Junaid turned to Asmah with a smile. "It was great talking to you," he said. "Maybe we can grab coffee again sometime and continue the conversation?"

Asmah's heart skipped a beat as she met Junaid's gaze. "I'd like that," she said, smiling back at him.

Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to connect with Junaid. "I would love to continue our conversation," she said. "But perhaps we could do it in a more formal setting"

Junaid nodded, his face lighting up with understanding. "Of course, Asmah," he said. "I completely understand and respect your boundaries. Perhaps we could schedule a meeting with your supervisor or another colleague present?"

Asmah felt a sense of relief and appreciation for Junaid's understanding. "That sounds like a great idea," she said. "I'll talk to my supervisor and see what we can arrange."

Junaid smiled, standing up from his seat. "I'm looking forward to it," he said. "It was great talking to you, Asmah. May Allah bless you and guide you."

Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of peace and contentment. "Ameen," she said. "May Allah bless you and guide you as well, Junaid."

As they parted ways, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to connect with someone who shared her values and respected her boundaries. She knew that she had to be careful and mindful of her interactions with Junaid.
