If you've been in my space long enough, I promise, before you name the two or three people who do what I do, my name comes up first.

Watching my journey from 2021, if there's anything I pride myself in, it would be that whatever I set my heart to do, I'll do it so well.

Consistently, I've seen myself pick up skills at different times and seasons and do them excellently. Those who have known me can attest to one or two skills up until now.

I believe a couple of things contribute to this. It's not because I never get tired, neither is it because these skills were easy.

First, I am a very resilient and goal-oriented person. I see what I want and go all out for it. It doesn't matter if I fail at it, I'll try again. I rarely give up on things.

Secondly, I pay rapt attention not just to learning but also to unlearning and relearning, because I'm a firm believer that there's always a better way to do this.

Furthermore, I'm a judge of myself before public opinion. Before I deliver on any project, I check critically, question, reassess what I've done, and pay attention to details. This helps me deal with any loopholes.

Also, I do not hoard the knowledge I have about my skills. I seize every opportunity I get to pass down knowledge. I believe the more you impact, the more you multiply what you have.

To cap it all, I treat criticism from friends, family, and most importantly my clients as important. I listen, and try to understand before responding.

These things I've mentioned (but not limited to) are great pillars for anyone who really wants to build something with lasting impact. I've seen it work for me and I know it's replicable.

If you feel you're not doing enough, come close.

If you are tired, worn out or feel like every effort you put in is not yielding, come close.

If you feel overwhelmed, come close!

Do this; breathe in and out. Do it again. Yes, do it again, one more time girl! Great!!!

It's okay to take a break. It's okay to feel unmotivated. It's okay to feel tired.

But what's not okay is beating yourself up every single time because you couldn't keep up.

What's not okay is staying unmotivated or keep slacking and giving excuses for being lazy.

If you feel overwhelmed, tired, unmotivated, worn out and like giving up, here's what you should do; ask yourself, What's the top priority for me now? That is where your energy and attention should go.

See, asking the right questions brings clarity. At the end of the day what really matters is doing what matters. You don't allow you feel in the moment determine your overall actions.

If rest is your top priority, rest.

If it's food, eat.

If it's full focus and attention to work, do it.

As for me, I'm a graphic designer and AI creator. The top on my list right now is to deliver my clients project and I'm not gonna let how I feel stop me.

I didn't realise I was learning so much.

Just because I started using AI to create very realistic images, I find myself learning so many other things.

What do you mean that I now know different colours that sound strange, what is terracotta brown and rusty pink 😂 😂 😂 😂. I am now so familiar with many colours Better at naming colours. You see this one ehn, by the time I'm back to the fashion design world, Una go hear am.....lols!

I am now familiar with some photography terms that I'm beginning to feel like a professional photographer 😂 😂 😂.

Talk about studio backdrops, camera lenses , poses, camera angles, studio lighting etc. I'm just so feeling myself. You can call me the professional AI photographer...lols!


If I were to be an hairstylists ehn, my clients will just be getting inspo on a daily basis. Pixie cut o, chin length bob o, deep wave bouncing updo ooo... hairstyle na water 😂😂😂

Let's talk about outfits: designs, textures, fabrics and the likes, ehhhhh!! I can't wait to get back to the fashion world.

How about colour grading? Really, I've been learning a whole lot of things than I realised. I probably wouldn't have known some of these things now (maybe much later o, I would) but now I do because of one skill I have decided to dedicate my time to.

You can really learn so much and increase in knowledge if you're open minded.
