VDM’s Effort in the Mohbad Case
Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), deserves commendation for his persistence in keeping the Mohbad case alive in the public consciousness. At a time when many people feared that the demand for justice would gradually fade, VDM continued to ask difficult questions, challenge narratives and demand accountability.
Despite intense backlash, criticism and attacks from people opposed to his approach, he continued to speak publicly about the issues surrounding Mohbad’s death. His determination has helped ensure that the case remains a subject of national conversation.
VDM may be controversial, and not every allegation he makes should automatically be accepted as fact. Nevertheless, his courage, persistence and willingness to confront powerful interests deserve recognition. His contribution demonstrates how social-media activism can keep pressure on institutions when the public is demanding answers.
Most importantly, his efforts should be judged by the evidence and the pursuit of justice—not simply by the personalities involved or the backlash surrounding him.
Whatever one's opinion of VDM may be, credit should be given where it is due: he has refused to let the call for justice for Mohbad die quietly.
