"Islam promote violence and terrorism"
"The Qur’an command Muslims to kill non-Muslims"
"Sharia law promote harsh punishments like amputation or stoning"
"Sharia isn't compatible with human rights and modern law"
"Muslims are bad people by default"
Above statements are used to attack Muslims and Islam at large by Non-muslims.

I believe it is high time Muslims spoke up and made greater efforts to educate non-Muslims about what Islam truly stands for and Islam's position regarding banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

Lately, I have come across numerous posts, articles, videos, podcasts, and other forms of content from some non-Muslims portraying Islam as a religion that promotes crime and terrorism, and portraying Muslims as terrorists by default. They also allerge Muslims both online and Offline for criminality.

Many of these narratives are built upon verses of the Qur'an quoted out of context, without proper understanding, historical background, or scholarly explanation. Unfortunately, peak ignorance and misinformation have led many people to form opinions about Islam without genuinely studying its teachings.

It has now reached a point where many Muslims cannot make a simple post, offer advice, or discuss their faith without encountering comments that attempt to associate them with terrorism and criminality. Such accusations are unfair and often stem from misconceptions rather than facts.

To my fellow Muslims, do not feel guilty for crimes committed by individuals who merely claim to be Muslims. You bear no responsibility for the actions of criminals who violate both the laws of the land and the teachings of Islam. Banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, murder, oppression, and injustice are not Islamic virtues; they are crimes condemned by Islam.

"Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul (i.e.: unless the soul also kill another soul) or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one (soul), it is as if he had saved mankind entirely." (Qur'an 5:32)
The Prophet ﷺ also said: "A Muslim is the one who people are safe from his tongue and hand" (i.e.: who doesn't hurt people with his word and his actions). (Sahīh Al-Bukhārī and Sahīh Muslim)
In another narration, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ warned: "Whoever kills a person under covenant (a non-Muslim under Muslim protection) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise." (Sahīh Al-Bukhārī)

Dear Muslim brethren, Learn your religion properly. Study the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the explanations of qualified scholars. Do not allow anyone to manipulate Qur'anic verses or misrepresent Islamic teachings due to ignorance or prejudice.
"Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know." (Qur'an 16:43)

Be confident enough to engage in respectful conversations. When people present verses or narrations to attack Islam, explain their proper context, meaning, and interpretation. Many misconceptions persist simply because many people have never heard the authentic Islamic perspective.

Islam teaches justice, mercy, compassion, protection of life, respect for human dignity, and peaceful coexistence. The actions of criminals should never be used as a yardstick to judge a faith followed by billions of people worldwide.
"Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives and forbids immorality, bad conduct, and oppression." (Qur'an 16:90)
He also says: "O you who believe! Stand firmly for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves, your parents, or your relatives." (Qur'an 4:135)

Rather than remaining silent while false narratives spread, Muslims should strive to be ambassadors of their faith through knowledge, wisdom, good character, and constructive dialogue. The best way to counter misinformation is not through anger, but through education, understanding, and exemplary conduct.

May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, wisdom in speech, and the ability to represent Islam in the best manner.

The actions of individuals, groups, or even governments should not be used to define an entire religion. If Islam truly promoted terrorism and oppression, then countries that implement aspects of Islamic law would naturally be among the most violent and unstable places on earth. However, many countries with strong Islamic values and Shari'ah-based legal systems maintain social order, low crime rates, and stable communities.

Likewise, history shows that wars, invasions, oppression, and human rights abuses have been committed by nations and groups of various religions, ideologies, and political systems. Some of the largest wars and atrocities in human history were carried out by people who were not Muslims. Therefore, it is neither fair nor intellectually honest to blame Islam for every crime committed by someone who claims to be Muslim, just as it would be unfair to blame Christianity, Judaism, secularism, or any other belief system for every wrongdoing committed by their followers.

As I write today, Diyah (blood money) for a life taken by mistake is 1,000 dinaar of gold which is equivalent to ₦849,536,370. In the sharia of Islam, if you kill someone by mistake, this is what you're to pay the family, but if you intentionally kill, you're to be killed too without delay.
So, tell me how the religion that imposed this will allow banditry and it's related.
Ponder!!!

Additionally, you can't see any other country which, in the last 50 years has brought terror, destruction, and disability to the world apart from the US. Japan, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, etc. Being a Christian country, why isn't Christianity designated as a terrorist religion?

Whereas people (even non-muslims) are willing to have a taste of government of core Islamic implemented country because without any doubt and hatred, we all see how people are living freely and making it big there. Country like Dubai, Qatar, Malaysia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc...

The true measure of any religion should be its authentic teachings, not the misconduct of those who violate them. Islam should be judged by the Qur'an, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the understanding of qualified scholars, not by the actions of criminals who disregard Islamic principles.

My dear Muslim brethren, keep your heads up, learn about your religion, don't feel any sense of responsibility to terrorism.

May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, wisdom in speech, sincerity in action, and the ability to represent Islam in the best manner.

That night, I saw a notification pop up on my devce which turn out to be a message in the MSSN FUNAAB executives’ group when two designs were dropped - the Jihad Week 2026 "color combination flyer" and the "anticipation flyer".

Seconds later, a message came in:
“These designs are not okay… it looks too feminine. Maybe we should change the color combination.”
I disagreed. Not because the designs were perfect but because I knew the problem wasn’t the colors.
So I said it clearly: "It was the ex*****on, the issue isn’t the color combination, it’s the lack of concept and creativity.”

That moment changed everything and the responsibility was handed to me.
At first, I wanted to decline, tight academic schedule, madrasah commitments, and everything in between.
But this was bigger than me.
It was about using design to serve the Ummah, to communicate, inspire, and connect people through something visually meaningful.

So I accepted. ✅

From that point on, it was pressure, deadlines, and consistency.
Late nights, back-to-back concepts, revisions, and ex*****ons.

From the initial color direction to the Grand Finale, I created 30+ designs, each one intentional, each one telling a story.

And Alhamdulillah yesterday, we witnessed the Grand Finale.

Alhamdulillah — no regrets, no disappointment, Just impact.

People connected.
People showed up.
People felt it.

That’s what design is about. ✅

So if you got an event, brand, or project you want people to feel and not just see? Connect here!

I don’t just design, I create visuals that communicate and leave lasting impressions.

Let’s work.
