As a young Nigerian from an average home, one of your worries should be how you are going to build a future free of poverty and set backs for yourself and your family.

To many of us, it was never our fault not to be born into a wealthy home. Our parents did all they could to raise us to the level they were capable of.

Whether they are still alive or not, it is therefore imperative that we make their efforts count, by pulling them out of poverty and making them happy.

The best time to do that is now! Now that you are 16, 18, 20, 24, 30, 35, or 40.. there is no better time to start than now. Don't wait!

Never make an excuse to not make money, no matter how small you can. Don't say you're still a student, don't say you don't have any support, don't say the country is hard. Don't say you're too busy.

Start from anywhere. Start with anything. Just do it because nobody will do it for you. Stop playing around. You don't have all the time.

Wake up! Do something. It's not good to be broke. Life makes more sense when you have money. Let's make some money and make a lot of it.

5 TIPS TO OVERCOME FINANCIAL STRUGGLES AT 20s

1. Watch your spending habits: Spend more on assets than liabilities

2. Stop borrowing/lending from money people: Borrow only to invest on assets with good returns. Not liabilities with no return

3. Invest in yourself: Train yourself and grow in mind, knowledge and skills

4. Avoid bad friends: Some people you call your friends wants you to be a failure in life. Don't let them influence you with their bad energy

5. Leave your comfort zone: Comfort is the state of safety, convenience, enjoyment or relaxation. This is not the time for it. Nothing good happens in a comfort zone

The best time for you to take your financial life more seriously is now that you are still young and energetic.

If you can't make money now you'd never, when you get old.

You don't need a 1st class degree to make money online

You don't need to have 1M naira to start a business online

You don't need to rend an office space or shop to start

In some online businesses, you don't need to create your own products or worry about delivery or customer care

All you need is your smartphone, an internet connection, your willingness and seriousness.

What else is your excuse? 🤔

A man's speed is determined by two things;

1. What is pursuing him

2. What he is pursuing.

If a Chicken is pursuing him, he would run carelessly. But if a Lion is pursuing him, he will run with all the energy in him.

On the other hand, what he is pursuing could be determined by what is pursuing him.

If what is pursuing you is after your life, you'd run for the safety of your life.

When you fail to take necessary actions to save your life, your finances and your future, the circumstances of life will destroy it.

Therefore, be conscious of what is pursuing you and run (take actions) as fast as possible.
