I am announcing the official start of my campaign to fundamentally change how Ewekoro is represented in the Ogun state house of assembly. Our representative have failed in their responsibilities to the people of Ewekoro and the citizens of the Ogun state. They have not done the job they were elected to do. They have only concerned themselves with holding on to their positions of power, attacking their opponents and getting re-elected. The results have been sequesters, government shut-downs, and the downgrading of Ogun state credit. Critical problems have been ignored and avoided due to the fear that advancing real solutions may cost their political parties future votes. The government has been hamstrung and crippled. I’m sick of it and I’m sure that you all are sick of it too.
But we can cure this sickness. There is a way to break this log jam.I could serve the interests of the citizens that elected me not the interests of my pocket,i will help to restore hope we have wished and dream for ,it is possible if you give me a chance, i will face crucial issues which are confronting us. Issues that become more and more difficult for us to solve the longer we remain paralyzed.
Issues like water supply ,can you imagine water becoming a major problem in our villages and towns.
issues like poor health system ,most people have lost their life's and life's of their love ones which they are not meant to, but they do because the health system is not easily accessible, weak and poor
Issues of unemployment ,ranging from the youth ,women and the people at large.i know our people are not lazy but they have no access to a job talk less of a good job for them to live a good life they wish or dream for .
Issues like the messed up educational system ,no good school and proper equipment to make education easy and fun .
And there are many more problems that also need to be tackled. But by following the same worn path ,these problems will never be resolved.
I have pragmatic solutions for dealing with each of these issues.
I have a healthcare proposal that will actually provide care to everyone in Ewekoro and Ogun state combining the best of the market system and what government can do. And it will allow us to have access to a good and effective health care system
I also have a plan to encourage employment,open doors for business opportunities,people having access to micro-loan to help small and medium business both new and existing business and ongoing education to keep the economy and the middle class healthy.
I will be discussing all of this through the course of my campaign. These solutions will also be posted on the campaign Facebook account and i hope you will read these and make comment
But of greatest importance is the simple fact that until we move beyond the status quo, until we eliminate the massive influence of special interests and personal greed ,none of the necessary policy breakthroughs will occur. until you pick a selfless,effective,reliable candidate,we can begin to change this.
While exploring running for office I was always asked this question
Why are you running for the office ?
My answer is very simple ,i am running for Ogun State house of Assembly ,because Ewokoro peoples voices have the right to be heard and i want to be the mouth piece of my people and implement innovative ideas that can bring a turn around in our lives.Instead of a better world, we are leaving to our children huge bills and unsolved problems. If we continue on this course we will be the first generation of Nigerians to leave less to the younger generations than was given to us.
This is certainly not the legacy I want to leave and I don’t believe it’s the legacy you want to leave either. We still have a chance to change this.
So let me tell you what the hallmarks of this campaign will be.
First I will always try to keep things simple and straightforward. I will try my best to avoid speeches and instead have conversations. Although I’ll advocate for the things I believe I’ll always try to listen and keep an open mind.
Next, I promise to always put the interests of the people of Ewekoro ,Ogun state citizens above any personal or political interests. The citizens of Ewekoro will be the special interest group I will respond to. I’m not running to make this a career. it will be about you, the people of Ewekoro and especially about our children and grandchildren. If elected I will work as hard as I can every day too honestly and ethically represent you.
This race can change the Ogun state assembly. It can end the paralysis that exists. It can allow us to begin to again fulfill all the great potential Ewekoro and Ogun state has
The Ogun state house of assembly election in Ewekoro can truly be historic. The time is right and the place is right for our victory. I ask you all to be leaders in this movement. I ask that you join hands with me in any way you can to make this history happen.
