The Coming of Jesus is close!

Who told you that a sinner will rest in peace?

We are quick to say “Rest in Peace” whenever someone dies. But have we ever stopped to ask ourselves — does everyone truly rest in peace?

In Luke 16:19–31, Jesus tells us about the rich man and Lazarus. Both men died. But their experiences were completely different. Lazarus was carried to a place of comfort. The rich man, however, found himself in torment. He was conscious. He could speak. He could remember his life. He felt anguish. That is not rest. That is not peace.

Then Revelation 14:11 says, “And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night.” The Bible literally says no rest. That alone should make us think carefully.

Jesus also warned in Mark 9:47–48 about a place “where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.” These are not casual words. They are warnings from the mouth of Christ Himself.

But here is the hope.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 speaks about “those who sleep in Jesus.” Revelation 14:13 says, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours.”

Notice the condition: die in the Lord.
That is where rest is promised.

Peace after death is not for sinners. True rest is found in Christ.

Hebrews 9:27 reminds us that after death comes judgment. A sinner who rejects Jesus does not escape accountability simply because life on earth has ended.

This is not written to condemn anyone. It is written so we understand the seriousness of our choices. Choosing to reject Christ is not a small decision. Eternity is real. And the Bible makes it clear that there is no rest for those who refuse Him.

The only guaranteed rest is in Jesus.

Now is the time to choose wisely.

Don’t keep your salvation to yourself. Go out and spread the goodness. That’s Jesus’ instruction to every believer!

A Christian who doesn’t spread the goodnews is not fit to be called a Christian!
