🌟UPDATE & APPRECIATION🌟
Following a joint humanitarian appeal by the NYCN Keffi Chapter, YAN Keffi Chapter, and Keffi Social Media Connect (KSMC) for the urgent medical intervention required by Hafsat, a young girl battling a life-threatening congenital condition, we are delighted to announce a successful and timely intervention.
In response to the appeal, Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed graciously deployed a delegation led by Mr. Abdulmalik Ahmad, alongside Comr. Ja’afar Ramalan Sarkin Yaki Ne and others. The delegation engaged all relevant stakeholders and the management of Amosun Hospital, where the cost of the surgical procedure was officially assessed at ₦1.5 million. The full amount was settled immediately in cash by Baraden Nasarawa, with an additional ₦500,000 released to cover medications and other associated hospital expenses.
We deeply commend the prompt and coordinated response of Hon. Kasim Talba (SA, Political Affairs), Hon. Yakubu Atiku (SA, Media & Publicity), Hon. Dauda Yusuf (PA, Human Capital Development), and Hon. Aliyu Bello Aliyu (PA, Media) under the auspices of the Forum of SSAs, SAs, and PAs to the Governor. Their swift visit to the hospital, direct engagement with the medical team, and proactive facilitation toward settling the ₦2 million hospital bill demonstrate commendable dedication.
While the forum was finalizing payment arrangements, a delegation from the Office of the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, led by Baraden Nasarawa, arrived at the hospital and completed the payment in full. This collective show of empathy, urgency, and responsibility exemplifies true leadership in service to humanity.
We equally extend our profound gratitude to all individuals, youth bodies, organizations, and well-meaning Nigerians whose donations, advocacy, facilitation, and widespread sharing of the appeal contributed to this lifesaving outcome.
Through collective compassion and action, hope has been renewed and a life preserved.
