Microsoft estimates that Russian hackers carried out 22,800 attacks between July and October this year. This was reported on October 24 in the company's blog.

We are talking about the Nobelium hacker group, which is associated with the Russian Federation. This group was allegedly behind the SolarWinds hack in late 2020.

“From July 1 to October 19, we warned 609 client companies that were attacked by Nobelium more than 22,800 times during this time,” the company said.

As noted, the scammers have achieved their goal "a few times." Within three years, until July 1, 2021, companies received 20.5 thousand notifications of cyberattacks.

"This time, Nobelium is targeting resellers and technology service providers who configure and manage cloud services and other technologies on behalf of their customers," Microsoft said.
