THE BLESSED PERSON (2)

Troubles in life are inevitable; they do not announce themselves. In most cases, they come as emergencies.

One of the benefits enjoyed by a blessed man who cares for the poor is that he will be delivered in times of trouble.

I once heard the story of a man who was generous enough to pay the school fees of a coursemate who was about to be denied the opportunity to write a crucial examination. Decades later, the beneficiary became a surgeon who saved the life of his former benefactor.

May your good deeds speak for you.

THE BLESSED PERSON (1).

Beloved, by the grace of God, we will be discussing the topic, “The Blessed People,” over the next few days.

What does it mean to be a blessed person? The general assumption is that a blessed person has great possessions.

However, the first thing that points to a blessed man, according to our passage today, is that he cares for the poor.

He is concerned about their plight.

Jesus said that when we care for the poor, we have cared for Him, and He will reward us (Matthew 25:31–46).

GOD THE FATHER.

God is God to many, if not to all people, but He is not Father to everyone.

Jesus taught us how to pray, and the opening statement reveals that communication with God is built on relationship.

Therefore, we are to address God as “Our Father who is in heaven.” One of the responsibilities of a father is to correct his children.

Our Bible reading today focuses on the correction that comes from our Heavenly Father.

If a person is corrected by God, he should be glad, because it is a sign of God’s love. God corrects His children because He does not want them to perish.

King David sinned, and God disciplined him, yet he became better for it (2 Samuel 11, 12, and 19).

Is God your Father? Then be ready to accept His correction, it is for your good.
