Sometimes, small mistakes cost big opportunities.
That's why when I look at a LinkedIn profile, I pay attention to the tiniest details.
Think like a salesperson.
You can have a great offer, a beautiful website, and solid traffic.
But if your site isn't mobile-friendly, when most of your audience shops on mobile, you will be losing money quietly.
And you won't even know why.
LinkedIn works the same way.
Sometimes:
– Your link in bio leads to a broken page.
– Your featured section has a thumbnail instead of a clickable document.
– Your case studies are buried instead of showcased.
These are small things, but they signal care or the lack of it.
Earlier this week, I audited Ifeoluwa's profile.
Two of these issues were present.
I pointed them out, and he fixed them almost immediately.
That's what I love: professionals who understand that visibility isn't luck but positioning.
Now, take another look at your profile.
The problem might be your banner, your about section, your featured links, or even your content.
Fix it or get help.
Remember, your LinkedIn profile is not just a social account; it is a positioning asset.
For many executives and hiring managers, it's the first credibility check before they respond, shortlist, or refer you.
Now ask yourself,
If someone important landed on your profile today,
Would it reinforce your authority, or create doubt?
Are you showing up intentionally or leaving opportunities to chance?
