“They covered his eyes with įuįu, that’s why he doesn’t listen to advice” – Primate Ayodele claims Tinubu is under a spiritual sp3ll

The founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stirred fresh reactions after making controversial claims about the spiritual condition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that the Nigerian leader is operating under a supernatural influence that prevents him from accepting wise counsel.

Speaking during a church service on Sunday, the outspoken cleric claimed that President Tinubu’s “eyes have been spiritually covered,” making him resistant to constructive advice and causing him to distance himself from individuals who genuinely want the country’s progress.

According to Primate Ayodele, people with good intentions are gradually being pushed away from the president’s inner circle, while those he described as self-serving continue to influence key decisions. He warned that ignoring sincere advice could have serious political consequences for Tinubu in the future.

The cleric urged the president to reflect on the counsel being offered to him, insisting that surrounding himself with the wrong people would ultimately work against his administration.

In his words:

“Tinubu, if you like, they advise you on the right thing, don’t do it. Those advising you, when you lose, your eyes will open.”

He continued:

“I said your eyes have been covered with įuįu. They have cast a sp3ll on Tinubu’s eyes and he’s operating under a spell. So when you tell him this is not the right thing, he will hate you.”

Primate Ayodele did not provide evidence to support his claims, presenting them as part of his prophetic message to the nation. His remarks have since generated widespread debate, with supporters viewing them as a spiritual warning, while critics regard them as a personal opinion rather than a verifiable claim.

“No ambition to take Tinubu’s job; religious leaders are not only to preach but also to address the realities of our people’s lives” – Cardinal Onaiyekan

Former Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, has defended the role of religious leaders in speaking out on national issues, stressing that the Church has a responsibility to address the everyday challenges facing Nigerians, not just preach religious teachings.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, the respected cleric dismissed suggestions that bishops who criticize government policies have political ambitions, insisting that the Church is not interested in taking over the government or contesting for power.

According to Cardinal Onaiyekan:

“As bishops, we have no ambition to take Tinubu’s job. We are not politicians running for office. We are religious leaders who believe we have a duty not only to preach religious doctrine but also to address the realities of our people’s lives.”

He explained that the Church cannot remain silent in the face of hardship, insecurity, poverty, and other social challenges affecting citizens, noting that speaking the truth and advocating for justice are part of its moral responsibility. He emphasized that offering constructive criticism of government policies should not be mistaken for political opposition but seen as a commitment to the well-being of the Nigerian people.

“Amaechi, who couldn’t secure 25% for Buhari in Rivers, not a plus for Atiku as running mate” – Wike declares

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at the reported presidential ambition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi would not be an electoral advantage if chosen as his running mate.

Speaking during a media interview, Wike argued that Amaechi’s political record does not support the claim that he would strengthen Atiku’s chances at the polls.

“Chibuike Amaechi running as vice-presidential candidate is not a plus to Atiku Abubakar. He was governor and could not deliver for Buhari. He was a Grade A minister and still could not secure 25 per cent for Buhari in Rivers State,” Wike said.

Wike maintained that Amaechi’s past electoral performance in Rivers State shows he lacks the political influence many attribute to him, insisting that his inclusion on any presidential ticket would not significantly improve its electoral prospects.

Masked guest crashes Peller & Jarvis’ wedding with ₦10M cheque, then drops “predict our baby’s gender” cash prize contest

A mysterious masked guest stole the spotlight at the lavish wedding reception of popular Nigerian TikTok couple, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his wife, Elizabeth Amadou (Jarvis), after surprising the newlyweds with a ceremonial cheque worth ₦10 million.

The glamorous reception, attended by celebrities, family members, friends and well-wishers, had already been filled with emotional moments and extravagant gifts. However, one of the biggest highlights came when the unidentified guest, known simply as Oga 9ja, made a dramatic entrance in a full pink elephant mascot costume, complete with black sunglasses, a white agbada-style outfit and traditional coral beads.

As guests watched in excitement, the masked figure presented an oversized ceremonial cheque addressed to “Mr & Mrs Adelaja,” confirming a cash gift of ₦10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira Only). The unexpected gesture drew loud cheers and applause as the visibly delighted couple accepted the gift.

But the surprise did not end there.

Shortly after the presentation, Oga 9ja unveiled a promotional campaign centred on the couple’s future family, directing fans to a website branded “Peller’s Biggest Drop Yet.” The campaign invites supporters to predict the gender of Peller and Jarvis’ first child by choosing between a boy, girl or twins before its official launch on August 14, 2026.

According to the website, participation is free, and everyone who submits a prediction will stand a chance to win cash prizes ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦250,000 through raffle draws. Users are also asked to provide their phone numbers to receive what the platform describes as a “unique welcome offer” when the campaign goes live.

The mysterious appearance of the masked guest added another memorable chapter to Peller and Jarvis’ fairy-tale wedding celebration, further cementing the event as one of Nigeria’s biggest celebrity weddings of the year.

Nigerian billionaire gifts Peller & Jarvis ₦400 million Abuja mansion on their wedding day

Popular Nigerian TikTok couple, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his wife, Elizabeth Amadou, better known as Jarvis, received one of the biggest surprises of their wedding day after being gifted a luxurious ₦400 million mansion in Abuja by renowned real estate entrepreneur, King Mohamed Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho.

The unforgettable moment happened during the couple’s star-studded white wedding ceremony in Lagos on Saturday, leaving guests in awe as friends, family members, celebrities and fellow content creators erupted in applause.

King Ochacho, the founder of Ochacho Real Homes, made the grand announcement while presenting the lavish gift to the newlyweds.

“On behalf of my children, I am presenting a brand new house for you worth ₦400 million in Abuja. Congratulations, Peller,” he declared, drawing loud cheers from the excited audience.

The businessman didn’t stop there. He also invited Peller to attend his own upcoming wedding and promised to further support the TikTok star financially.

“I am going to send you six zeros, millions,” Ochacho said with a smile before asking for and collecting Peller’s phone number, a gesture that sparked excitement among guests.

Peller and Jarvis’ love story has continued to capture the hearts of many Nigerians. Their journey to forever began in June 2026 when Peller proposed to Jarvis at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana. The couple later held their traditional marriage ceremony in Benin City, Edo State, where Peller officially fulfilled the traditional marriage rites and paid the bride price.

They legally sealed their union with a court wedding in Lagos on July 29 before celebrating their fairy-tale white wedding surrounded by loved ones.

The ₦400 million mansion gift has since become one of the biggest highlights of the wedding, with many Nigerians describing it as a rare act of generosity and a perfect blessing as the newlyweds begin their life together.

"Cardınal John Onaıyekan was root¡ng for Peter Obi not for Chr¡st¡ans" – Daniel Bwala alleges

Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the former Archbishop of Abuja, has become a trending topic after revealing details of a meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), where the bishops raised concerns about the country’s economic hardship and governance.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News TV, Onaiyekan said the bishops told President Tinubu that many Nigerians were suffering and that the nation was “bleeding.” According to him, the President disagreed with their assessment, insisting that the country was not bleeding and that his administration’s economic policies were on the right track.

“When the nation is bleeding, you can’t expect a polite meeting with the Head of State. We need to let him know. And his reply is that the nation is not bleeding. We told him the economy is not helping the poor people. He said the economy is doing fine. Practically speaking, he told us quite clearly that he does not agree with us,” Onaiyekan said.

Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Daniel Bwala, accused the Cardinal of being political rather than spiritual. Bwala claimed that Onaiyekan’s views reflected those of Catholic institutions he alleged were supportive of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

“Cardinal Onaiyekan wasn’t speaking for Christians; he was speaking for Catholics, the very institutions rooting for Peter Obi. Therefore, the Cardinal is more political than spiritual. And not all Catholic members are supporting Peter Obi,” Bwala wrote.
