Few weeks or months ago, I met one of my husband’s friends someone I had an affair with years ago. Our relationship started in 2014 and ended in late 2015. After that, I met my husband in 2016, and we got married in December 2017 after I f0und out I was prêgnant.
When I saw this old flame again, we both pretended not to know each other. I didn’t think my husband would be happy to learn about our past, so we acted as though it was our first meeting and moved on.
However, after that encounter, he found me on Facebook and sent me a message. We exchanged contacts and started talking again. He said he had missed me all these years and had been searching for me. He told me he still wanted us back together.
He’s 37 now and still unmarried. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested especially since I’m married to his friend and have children. I told him I couldn’t betray my husband.
At first, he agreed to respect my decision, but later he started pressuring me. Eventually, I gave in and agreed to meet him and, sadly, we ended up being intimate.
That was the first time I ever did something behind my husband’s back. I felt terrible and wished it had never happened. I even texted him afterward, expressing my regret and asking him to stay away.
But with time, I found myself softening again. He came to apologize, and before I knew it, we were together again it happened about three more times.
Each time, I felt guilt and shame, yet it was like I couldn’t resist him. Seeing him always led to the same mistake.
Now, I’ve found out that I’m pregnant and the baby is his. My husband believes the pregnancy is his, and since we hadn’t planned to have more kids, he suggested I keep it.
I, however, feel deeply torn. I’m considering ending the pregnancy because I know the truth could destroy my home and reputation if it ever comes out.
I don’t know what to do. I’m confused and full of regret. I need your sincere advice, please.
