The more I build with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, the more I find myself drifting away from WordPress… like “it’s not you, it’s me” 😅

And before anyone comes for me, let me be clear. WordPress is powerful. It has helped millions of businesses get online. It still solves a lot of problems. No disrespect at all.

But as I continue to grow as a developer, my expectations for flexibility, performance, and scalability have changed… and WordPress and I are starting to want different things in life.

When you start working deeply with modern frameworks, you begin to see things differently.

You stop just building websites.
You start building systems… and lowkey feeling like a tech wizard while at it 🧙‍♂️

With React and Next.js, I have full control over the user experience. I can design interactions exactly how I want them to feel. No fighting against themes. No begging plugins to “please just work this one time”.

With Node.js, I am not boxed into someone else’s backend logic. I can architect solutions that actually make sense, not just what a CMS allows me to squeeze into.

With TypeScript, I get structure, predictability, and confidence at scale. Less “it worked on my machine” energy, more “this thing is solid”.

Now compare that to the typical WordPress workflow.

Install theme.
Install plugins.
Install more plugins.
Update one thing… something else breaks.
Start debugging issues you did not even sign up for in this life 😭

At some point, it starts to feel like you are in a toxic relationship.

The truth is, WordPress is great for speed and simplicity, especially for content driven websites. It still has its place.

But when you are building products, platforms, or anything that requires custom logic and long term scalability, modern stacks just give you more power… and peace of mind ✌️

This is not about WordPress being bad.
It is about growth.

As developers, the more we evolve, the more we crave control, performance, and the ability to build without restrictions.

Right now, I enjoy building systems more than assembling websites.

And maybe that is the shift.

From using tools that do things for you
To building tools that do exactly what you want

No hard feelings, WordPress… we had a good run 🤝

Instead of asking “Will AI take my job?”, the better question is “How can I use AI to become 10 times better at what I do?”

About the narrative spreading fast across social media that AI is coming to take over developers’ jobs. Let’s slow that down and look at reality, not fear.

AI is not here to replace developers. It is here to amplify them.

Every major shift in technology has come with the same kind of fear. When computers became popular, people thought jobs would disappear. When the internet came, people said the same thing. When no-code tools arrived, many believed developers would become irrelevant. Yet, today, the demand for skilled developers is higher than ever.

AI is simply another tool. A very powerful one, yes, but still a tool.

AI can write code snippets, suggest solutions, debug faster, and even automate repetitive tasks. But it does not understand business context the way a human does. It does not think creatively about user experience. It does not sit with clients to translate ideas into real products. It does not take ownership, responsibility, or make strategic decisions.

A developer is not just someone who writes code. A developer is a problem solver, a builder, a thinker, and an innovator.

What AI is doing is shifting the role of developers, not eliminating it.

Developers who rely only on basic coding without understanding the bigger picture may struggle. But developers who evolve, who learn how to use AI as a partner, who focus on architecture, logic, user needs, and innovation, will become even more valuable.

Think of AI as a junior assistant that works very fast. It can help you move quicker, but it still needs direction, correction, and supervision.

The real risk is not AI.
The real risk is refusing to adapt.

The future belongs to developers who:

- Understand fundamentals deeply
- Know how to think, not just code
- Use AI to increase productivity
- Keep learning and evolving

Instead of asking “Will AI take my job?”, the better question is “How can I use AI to become 10 times better at what I do?”

AI will not replace developers.
Developers who use AI will replace those who do not.

On my web app, I only allow specific email domain providers for user registration.

This was implemented to improve the overall quality, security, and reliability of the platform.

By restricting sign-ups to trusted email providers, I’m able to reduce spam accounts, prevent bot registrations, and ensure that users on the platform are more authentic and reachable.

Sometimes, building a scalable product isn’t just about adding features, it’s about making intentional decisions that protect the system and the user experience from day one.

I attended an interview recently… but it felt like I was the one interviewing the company 😄

Some of the questions I asked (purely for research purposes):

1. Is salary paid consistently on time, or are there occasional delays?

2. When you say “we are like a family,” what exactly does that mean in practice? 👀

3. The official closing time is 5pm, but realistically, what time do employees leave?

4. When employees perform well, is it rewarded with compensation… or just additional responsibilities?

5. What is the power situation like, and how does it affect daily operations? ⚡️

6. How reliable is the office internet for productivity?

7. How are leave requests typically handled, smoothly or with difficulty?

8. How would you describe the company’s approach to work-life balance?

9. In cases of salary delays, how are employees communicated with?

10. Is the work environment comfortable and well-equipped for productivity?

Bonus question (very important):
11. When you say “growth opportunities,” what does growth actually look like here?

At some point, the interviewer paused and looked at me like:
“Are you here for the role… or conducting an audit?” 😄

But honestly, these are real considerations.

Because in today’s world, it’s not just companies evaluating candidates, candidates are also evaluating companies.

Three years ago, I almost gave up on building my own products.

Not because I lacked the skill.
Not because I didn’t have any ideas.
But because nothing seemed to be working fast enough.

You know that phase?
When you’re building, shipping, improving… but the world is quiet.

No applause. No traction. Just you, your screen, and your doubts.

I stayed there longer than I expected.

But something in me refused to quit.

So I made a decision:
If I was going to build, I wouldn’t just build for the sake of it,
I would build solutions that actually improve how people live and work through technology.

That decision changed everything.

I stopped chasing random ideas and started focusing on real problems.

That’s how I built:
• An AI-powered website builder that helps people launch online without technical stress

• An affiliate marketing application that creates earning opportunities

These weren’t just projects.
They were answers to problems I saw people struggling with.

And slowly… things started to shift.

Users started coming.
Feedback started flowing.
Growth started happening.

Not overnight.
But consistently.

Today, I don’t just see myself as a developer.

I see myself as a builder of digital products that solve real problems.

An AI Engineer.
A Frontend Developer.
A Webmaster.

But more importantly, someone who understands how to take an idea from zero… and turn it into something people actually use.

Because here’s what I’ve learned:

Anyone can write code.
Not everyone can build something that people need.

And in today’s world, the real value is not just in technology,
It’s in using technology to create impact.

So if you’re a:
• Founder trying to turn an idea into a real product
• Business looking to scale with the right tech infrastructure
• Brand that wants to leverage AI to stay ahead

Then we should talk.

Because this is what I do.

I build.
I solve.
I create systems that work.

In the beginning, nobody was waiting for Affiliate+.

No hype.
No audience.
No guarantee it would work.

Just an idea… and the decision to build.

I remember the early days, pushing updates with little to no feedback, checking download stats that barely moved, and constantly asking myself, “Is this even going to work?”

But I kept going.

Late nights turned into early mornings.
Features were built, scrapped, and rebuilt.
Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned.
And slowly… very slowly… growth started to happen.

100 downloads
1,000 downloads

Each milestone felt small at the time, but looking back now, they were everything.

Today, that same product, built from scratch with consistency and belief, has crossed 100,000+ downloads on the Play Store. 🚀

No shortcuts.
No overnight success.
Just showing up, again and again.

Affiliate+ was created to simplify and teach affiliate marketing while blending it with e-commerce, but beyond the product itself, this journey has been about something deeper:

• Learning to trust the process
• Building when nobody is watching
• Staying consistent when results are invisible
• And believe that small progress compounds
