“The Man Who Wanted Everything”

Bola was the kind of man who believed life cheated him,he wanted more—more money, more fame, more respect,he prayed loudly, complained loudly, and dreamed loudly, but worked quietly… sometimes not at all,one night, after scrolling through social media and cursing everyone who seemed happier than him,he whispered a strange wish:
“If only I could switch lives with someone richer, even for one day, life, being the mischievous comedian it always is,heard him,the next morning,Bola woke up in a mansion.like A*o.
Marble floors.Gold rims,a chef asking what he’d like for breakfast, security guards,he laughed, irony had finally favoured him, until he saw the mirror.
Staring back was the tired face of Chief Balogun—the billionaire who died suddenly last night.
Yes, died.
Bola hadn’t switched into the man’s life,he had switched into the man’s death, servants weren’t surrounding him out of respect, they were preparing his body for burial.
He tried to scream, but his new throat did not obey,he tried to move, but his new body was already too stiff.
The real punchline, while Bola lay helpless in the billionaire’s dead shell,
Chief Balogun—now wearing Dapo’s body—
stood in Bola’s tiny room, breathing freely,
stretching happily,whispering:
“Ah… peace at last.”
Life had given Bola what he wanted—
just not the way he imagined.
Because life’s greatest irony is simple:
you can get everything you wish for,
and still lose everything you have.
Advise to everyone who holds on to life like it's theirs, Change for good!!!

Here’s a short, sharp take on the irony of life:

Sometimes life is funniest when it’s not trying to be.
We spend our childhood wishing to grow up fast, and our adulthood wishing we could slow everything down.
We save money for the future, only to discover the future comes with bills we never imagined.
We chase people who don’t see us,and ignore the ones who would walk through fire for us.
We pray for honesty, yet lie to ourselves more than anyone ever could.
We dream of success, but forget that the real success was peace we left behind, and in the end,
The irony of life is this:
We spend so much time trying to figure it out,
That we forget to actually live it.

The soup arrived first—peppery, steaming, stubbornly hot,Sandra blew on it,laughing softly as Jamal pretended not to watch her lips, they sat at a small roadside café,where the chairs wobbled and the food was always better than expected,Jamal had insisted on sharing everything.
One plate. One spoon.“Food tastes better when it’s shared,” he said, breaking the bread in half.
Sandra dipped the bread into the soup and fed him a bite, their fingers brushed,it was nothing—yet it felt like everything.
The main dish followed: jollof rice, smoky and rich, crowned with grilled chicken, they ate slowly, talking about nothing important and smiling as if it was when Sandra reached for the last piece of chicken,Jamal slid it gently toward her.
“Love,” he said, “is choosing someone’s happiness even when you’re hungry.”
Sandra smiled, pushed it back to the middle, and replied, “Then love is sharing the last bite.”they laughed, and the food grew cold—but something warmer stayed between them.
