A boy is selling fish on a corner. To get his customers' attention, he is yelling, "Dam fish for sale! Get your dam fish here!" A pastor hears this and asks, "Why are you calling them 'dam fish.'" The boy responds, "Because I caught these fish at the local dam." The pastor buys a couple fish, takes them home to his wife, and asks her to cook the dam fish. The wife responds surprised, "I didn't know it was acceptable for a preacher to speak that way." He explains to her why they are dam fish. Later at the dinner table, he asks his son to pass the dam fish. He responds, "That's the spirit, Dad! Now pass the f*cking potatoes!"

10 Success Strategies Musicians, Managers,
Promoters and More

1) Acknowledge That You Know More Than You Think You Do
All too often, independent artists, managers and promoters sell themselves short. Especially when it

comes to marketing, they whine, “But I don’t know enough about promotion” or “I’m horrible at sales.”
Really?
The truth is, they are usually just pretending to not know. And I bet you are guilty of this same ailment.
For instance, you know people are easily distracted and that it can take a number of follow-up attempts
before you get a response from somebody. Yet ... you give up after one attempt to reach someone and
complain about the lack of response.
You know what inspires you and your friends to support a new artist and buy their music. Yet ... you act
as if you have no clue how to promote your own music and connect with fans. Lesson: Trust your inner
wisdom. You know more than you pretend to know

2) Understand That Marketing Is a Lot Like Dating
What do you do on a first date with someone you really think has
potential? Do you talk endlessly about yourself and how great you
are? Or do you listen a lot and have a two-way dialogue?
Sadly, most people feel the need to impress others with how cool they
are. So they launch into a laundry list of everything they’ve ever
accomplished in their lives. Unfortunately, this approach leaves the other person feeling more neglected
than impressed.
It’s the same with music promotion. It’s not all about you and your needs. Get to know your audience
and what their interests and concerns are. Listen more than you talk. Share some of yourself and your
story as you get to know them better. Give your fans a chance to know, like and trust you.

3) Use a Marketing Match Instead of a Flamethrower
When it comes to promoting music, most musicians lean toward the
flamethrower approach. They think, “Let’s hit the scene with all guns
blazing” or “Let’s set this town on fire.” If this describes you, here’s a word

Techniques To Improve Facebook Marketing And Engagement Tips

Customer engagement is the key to a successful business. In the present marketing world, there is no better channel than social media to engage your customers. Among the many social media networks that are in vogue today, Facebook is the most popular. In the world alone, there are more than 500 million Facebook users! So, if you can tap the enormous potential of this social media platform, you can watch your clientele grow steadily. We have put a few tips together for you to help you out!
Show your personality
Facebook is a great platform to portray the personality of your business. Connect with your target customers in a friendly manner and show them that your brand is approachable. It helps you make a deeper personal connection and become friends with them because you talk to them as a person and not as a brand.
By portraying your personality in a positive manner and in a way that strikes a chord with your target audience, you reinforce the ethics of your brand and subsequently, you can engage customers more effectively.
Provide incentives
You can use Facebook to offer attractive incentives to customers. Share coupons and discount codes on your business fan page. You can hold simple contests and give out prizes that attract the attention of your target audience like our referral scheme that gives cash incentives to new introduction customers.
Once you announce such incentive programmes on Facebook and ensure that your target customers get to know about them, word spreads like wildfire. Your target customers become your promoters. Not only do you achieve effective customer engagement, but you also receive new leads that you can convert into active customers.
Respond
The key to engagement is to acknowledge and reciprocate the feelings and sentiments of your customers. Take time out or employ a person to reply to comments that fans post on your wall. If you establish a two way communication channel by responding to their comments, whether good or bad, you can engage them much better. Add humour in conversation for that extra edge.
Create a feeling of oneness
Your fans are a part of your online community. Use Facebook to strengthen the bond within the group. You can do this by celebrating milestones, sharing news about posts that get the highest number of likes, talk about the developments in your company and several other such activities.
Create content that is exclusively meant for the people of the community. Share photos and special videos. When you create a feeling of belongingness among your customers, they are eager to contribute towards the development of your brand and tend to remain with you longer.
The trick is to make your customers feel that they are a part of your success.
Organise and present the page effectively
If you cannot give your target customers a strong reason to come to you, they naturally will not join your community. When you use high quality and well organised content, you give them a powerful reason to like your page.
Make the most of the timeline feature to present your story. Add pictures and videos. When you make the page interesting, customer engagement happen naturally.
You can engage your customers by using numerous apps that add a lot of interest to the page. Additionally, use Facebook to strengthen customer service. A multidimensional approach works excellently to enhance customer engagement through Facebook.
