Being "smart" is costing you a lot of money.

Most businesses think they need big words to look professional. They think if they don't sound "big", people won't take them seriously.

I know what some of you are thinking.
"But Solomon, maybe the big grammar guy is talking to a 'high-level' target audience."

Look! Even a CEO with billions in the bank still has a stomach. When they wake up in the morning, they aren't dreaming about "maximizing satisfaction modules." They just want a good breakfast.

When you make your brand too hard to understand, you aren't being "premium." You’re just making it hard for people to give you money.

The most successful brands in the world use simple words because they are confident in what they sell. They don't need to hide.

Jargon is just a mask people wear when they are scared of being plain.

I have always believed that marketing is just humans talking to humans.

If I were to create a brand strategy for love, the tagline would be simple: Give Fully. Give Always.

We are trained to measure everything by the return on investment and that is why we often bring a "trading" mindset into our most sacred spaces.

"If I do this, I should get that."

Well, love is not a commodity to be traded. It is a foundation to be built upon.

When we stop treating every interaction as a transaction, we finally find the truth of what we are building.

Give fully! Nnot because you are expecting a payout, but because that is how you were designed to operate.

Love is not business. Stop trading!

Most of what you see online are baits.

Now that platforms pay for clicks, creators are now incentivized to prioritize rage over reality and truth.

If money is the only reason someone is speaking, the truth becomes optional.
Sadly, we have become so used to it that we find it hard to discern.

The internet is full of "farmers" trying to farm your metrics.
Don't let them!

And you... yes, you! You are a co-creator with God.
Your voice wasn't given to you to farm impressions, it was given to you to speak life and truth.

The best results in branding don’t always come from having all the answers.
They come from asking the right questions.

Over the years, I’ve noticed a pattern:
Clients who ask honest questions get clearer brands, better strategy and better outcomes.

Not because they are smarter, but because they are not pretending.

Brand clarity doesn’t come from confidence alone.
It comes from curiosity, honesty and the willingness to say, “I’m not sure yet. Let’s think.”

If you’re building a brand, leading a team or working with a strategist, remember this:
You can’t fake your way to clarity.
But you can ask your way there.

Clarity comes when confusion is acknowledged early.

Sometimes, the smartest move in leadership and branding is admitting confusion early, so clarity can take shape.

Well, it was not about objects but about people.

God didn’t calculate our worth by numbers.
He defined it by love.

The world talks about perceived value.
God proved actual value.

He didn’t replace us.
He pursued us.
He gave His Son, His Spirit, His burden, His life.

If you have ever felt insignificant, forgotten or replaceable, this is your reminder:

You were never just “one of many.”
You were always the one worth finding and fighting for.

“You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.”
Proverbs 19:21 (NLT)

As the year comes to a close, I am reflecting less on outcomes and more on alignment.

2025 taught me that clarity is more valuable than speed and depth matters more than visibility.
Not everything that grows is loud and not everything that shines is aligned.

I learnt to confront false narratives about success, timing and even myself.
I learnt to measure growth less by applause and more by obedience, and to release the pressure to perform and lean fully into purpose.

As I step into the new year, I am choosing intention over urgency, and committing to building work that solves real problems and tells the truth clearly.

I am grateful for the lessons, the people and the opportunities ahead.

The work continues.
So, cheers to a purposeful and intentional year ahead 🥂
