MTN,ETISALAT,AIRTEL,GLO Mobile Backup and
Retrieve/Restore Setup Settings,
Mobile Backup is necessary for every serious
mobile phone users, with this, major Nigeria’s
network providers such as
MTN,ETISALAT,AIRTEL,GLO have provided an
avenue for each of their subscribers to backup
and retrieve their contacts,calendar,tasks and
many other data online by remotely synchronizing
it from their mobile.
Today, I am going to show you how to backup
and retrieve your contacts and other data on Mtn,
Etisalat, Airtel, and Glo Mobile Backup.
MTN MOBILE BACKUP AND RETRIEVE SETUP
How to backup your contacts on MTN Mobile
Backup
MTN gives you the medium to backup your SIM
and Phone contacts, tasks,calendar e.t.c to their
online library without stress.
Requirements:-
MTN 128K SIM Card type – The MTN SIM card
must be a 128K type, To know the card type,
remove the SIM card from your phone SIM card
slot and check the back of the SIM it is specified
there already
An Internet (GPRS enabled phone) – You need a
phone that have internet connectivity (access to
the internet)
Supported Device – MTN mobile backup
supports over 400 mobile phone brands ranging
from Alcatel,Infinix,Samsung,Xiaomi and many of
them you can check the list of MTN Mobile
backup supported phones here.
MTN Mobile Backup Setup Process;
There are 3 ways to do it
1. Normal Way
>> Navigate to your mobile phone menu(it varies,
depending on your mobile phone make)
>> Locate MTN services or something like SIM
services
>> Select ‘MTN backup’ and choose ‘Backup SIM
contacts’
>> The system will ask you whether you want to
synchronize your phone book, choose YES/OK.
>> Wait for the synchronization to finish, after
that it will show operation successful which
means all your contacts have been backup
successfully to their online library.
2. Using MTN Backup website, to initiate the
process on their website, open this link (https://
mtnnigeria.weballynis.gemalto.com/
CloudBackup/index.html) on a new tab, follow the
instructions carefully, since you don’t have an
account with them you have to sign up with your
phone number and follow the instructions
carefully.
3. Send “START” without quotes to 307 to
subscribe, a message will be sent to you, follow
the instructions.
NOTE: After backing up your contacts, N100 will
be deducted from your account for the initial
backup in the next 15 days, and other backups
will be deducting N50 for each backup process. If
you select Auto Backup, N50 will automatically be
deducted every two weeks.
How to retrieve contacts from MTN Mobile
Backup;
MTN Mobile Backup provides easy retrieving of
already backup data on their online library or
server
Now you want to retrieve your contacts and other
data because you have misplaced your mobile
phone or SIM card or for other reasons best know
to you. Follow these steps to carefully;

>> Login to MTN Mobile Backup Self care center
by clicking this link (open it in a new tab to
continue reading from here) and input your mobile
phone number as your username and input the
password MTN sent to you during registration
>> Click on Devices and select the mobile phone
you are using
>> Select Sync now, you will receive a message
that the “server wants to do synchronization with
you” kindly be patient for this process to finish.
>> WooHoo! Your New mobile phone will be
loaded with the old backup
contacts,calendar,task and others
>> You will receive a message from MTN Backup
for you to confirm whether the operation was
successful.
N.B. >>> N50 will be deducted for the process.
