Building Better Evidence, Together.

No single organization has all the answers—but together, we can generate the evidence needed to create lasting impact.

At Garnaly, we believe that meaningful research is built on strong partnerships, local expertise, and a shared commitment to quality. We work alongside research agencies, consulting firms, NGOs, development partners, and academic institutions to deliver reliable fieldwork and high-quality data collection across Africa.

From complex multi-country studies to community-level surveys in hard-to-reach locations, our role is simple: to be the trusted field partner that turns research designs into credible evidence.

Let's build stronger partnerships. Generate stronger evidence. Create greater impact across Africa.

Behind every family planning statistic is a real person, a real family, and a real decision.

Nigeria continues to face significant reproductive health challenges. According to the latest national data, the modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) among currently married women remains at 15%, while unmet need for family planning has increased to 21%. Previous national analyses also indicate that many women discontinue contraceptive use, highlighting ongoing challenges in access, continuity of care, and informed choice.

These figures are more than numbers—they point to opportunities for stronger policies, better programme design, and more responsive health systems.

At Garnaly, we believe that effective health interventions begin with understanding people's lived experiences.

Through household surveys, health facility assessments, qualitative research, client satisfaction studies, stakeholder consultations, and monitoring and evaluation, we help governments, NGOs, donors, and development partners generate the evidence needed to strengthen reproductive health programmes and improve health outcomes.

Reliable data helps answer important questions:

• What barriers prevent women from accessing family planning services?

• Why do some women discontinue contraceptive use?

• How do social norms, cost, geography, and service quality influence decision-making?

• Which interventions are delivering measurable impact?

When evidence informs action, programmes become more inclusive, more effective, and more sustainable.

At Garnaly, we don't just collect data—we help transform evidence into better health outcomes across Africa.

How do we know whether a project is truly creating impact?

Is success measured by the number of activities completed?

The number of beneficiaries reached?

Or by the lasting changes experienced by the people the project was designed to serve?

These questions sit at the heart of Impact Assessment and Stakeholder Research.

Across Africa, governments, development partners, foundations, and private sector organizations continue to invest significant resources in programmes intended to improve livelihoods, strengthen communities, create jobs, improve health outcomes, and expand access to opportunities.

But an important question remains:

What do stakeholders themselves say about the impact?

Have community needs changed?

Are beneficiaries experiencing meaningful outcomes?

Which interventions are working, and which require adaptation?

What unintended effects—positive or negative—are emerging?

At Garnaly, we believe that understanding impact requires listening to the voices of those closest to the intervention.

Through stakeholder consultations, beneficiary surveys, perception studies, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and mixed-method evaluations, we help organizations move beyond outputs and understand outcomes.

Because evidence is strongest when it reflects lived experiences.

If you have managed or funded a development programme, what do you believe is the most important indicator of success: outputs delivered, outcomes achieved, or stakeholder perception?

We would love to hear your thoughts.

What Does "Economic Hardship" Really Mean to Nigerians?

Across conversations in homes, markets, workplaces, and online communities, one theme appears repeatedly: the rising cost of living and its impact on everyday life.

But beyond headlines and public debate, an important question remains:

How are Nigerians actually adapting?

Are households changing where they shop?

Are consumers switching brands or reducing consumption?

How are small businesses responding to shifts in purchasing power?

What trade-offs are families making between food, transportation, education, healthcare, and other essential needs?

These are not questions that assumptions can answer.

They require credible, field-based research.

At Garnaly, we believe that understanding public sentiment and lived experiences is critical for governments, development partners, financial institutions, FMCG companies, and social impact organizations seeking to make informed decisions.

Through household surveys, consumer studies, public opinion polls, retail assessments, and community-level research, we help organizations move beyond perception and uncover what is truly happening on the ground.

Because effective policies, products, and programmes begin with understanding people.

In a rapidly changing economic environment, the organizations that listen best are often the ones that respond most effectively.

What changes have you observed in consumer behavior, household spending, or business activity in your community this year?

Today, we join millions of Nigerians at home and across the world in celebrating Democracy Day.

This day reminds us that strong democracies are built on the voices, participation, and aspirations of citizens.

As a market and public opinion research firm, Garnaly recognizes the importance of listening to people, understanding public sentiment, and generating evidence that supports informed decision-making and national development.

Democracy thrives when every voice counts, every opinion matters, and every citizen has the opportunity to be heard.

As Nigeria continues its democratic journey, we celebrate the resilience of its people, the strength of its institutions, and the collective commitment to building a more inclusive, prosperous, and accountable society.

Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria.
