EMPLOYEES ARE PEARLS
Employers should understand that, the first customers or ambassadors to your brand are those you call staffs, those you employed, they are actually called staffs for a reason which is, the company's weight rest on their shoulders,. Your potential investor are actually watching from a distances, to see how you treat your staffs, because the apple does not fall far from the tree, they are aware that it is just a matter of time they will be treated in the same way as the staffs.
However this is where brand culture and philosophy comes into play. When a Brand lead of an organization or what we call CEO, do not intentionally build a brand culture which is birth by the corporate philosophy, the razzmatazz of Looking-good- at- first-sight, will always fade away. From treating the old staffs as dung and treating the new staff as angels, this habit will further extend in treating old customers with contempt and familiarity. that is how the company will begin to lose old staff who have bonded with old customers , then instead of building brand solidarity, we now birth brand rivery, brands now spring forth prematurely, who will want to leverage on that singular concern, with little technical knowledge on the trade.
This is the core reason, that no company of Nigerian origin have reached the centenary benchmark in service delivery. Poor human resources to poor CRM, low business flow and, then liquidation. Your staffs are your best brand ambassador, when treated right, can die for your brand ( brand ownership), customers like happy staffs, then inturns builds happy client. We do not just buy things we buy Emotions!
