Hon. Agom Anthony Launches Initiative for Free JAMB Registration for the 2026 Education Programme

The Member representing Okpokwu State Constituency, Benue State House of Assembly and 2027 frontline aspirant for Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Agom Anthony in a move to enhance easy access to tertiary educational opportunities has officially launched free registration for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations for the 2026 academic year.

This is the fifth edition of the Education for Every Child free JAMB Registration designed to alleviate the financial burden on students and their families, ensuring that more young Idoma indigenes can pursue higher education.

During the launch event, Hon. Anthony emphasized the importance of education as a catalyst for national development. He stated, "Every child deserves the chance to succeed, and financial constraints should not hinder their dreams."

The 2026 edition is expected to benefit two hundred students across Enone, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. The Lawmaker has equally facilitated Tertiary Admission to almost 500 people from Okpokwu at various institutions of higher learning and promised to help in securing admission for those who will pass this year's JAMB.

Resource persons were also on ground to teach the students on subject combinations.Three representatives from Enone also spoke on behalf of their local government area. Hon Eloyi Ogbe from Ogbadibo, Hon Robert Idoko from Okpokwu and Hon Obande Friday Ogbu from Ado all gave their remarks.

Hon Matthew Adah promised to compliment next year free JAMB Registration with additional 200 candidates to support Rt Hon Agom Anthony gesture.

In his yearly support for Tertiary Education in Okpokwu Local Government Council and Enone, the Member representing Okpokwu State Constituency, Benue State House of Assembly and frontline aspirant for Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Agom Anthony has announced that the official flag-off of the free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration program will take place February 21st, 2026 at Okpoga Plaza, Okpoga.

The event is scheduled to commence at 10 AM and aims to provide deserving students with the opportunity to pursue higher education without the financial burden of registration fees.

Hon. Agom, known for his commitment to youth empowerment, emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the people. "This initiative is a promise kept to our youth, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic aspirations," he stated.

‎RT HON AGOM ANTHONY PAYS LAST RESPECT TO LATE HON FRANCIS UGWOKE OKEH AND LATE MRS JANET ULOKO

The Member representing Okpokwu State Constituency and frontline aspirant for Ado Okpokwu, Ogbadibo‎ Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Agom Anthony today paid his last respect to late Hon Francis Ugwoke alias Commissioner for Enjoyment at ichama Okpoga.

The Chairman Public Accounts Committee, ‎Hon Agom in his speech, noted that, Late Hon Francis Ugwoke lived a fulfilled life and had left a good legacies for his children and future generations.

‎From Ichama, the Giveback Lawmaker went to Aidogodo Okpoga to bid farewell to late Mrs Janet Uloko Nee Idoko, a sister to Hon Godwin Idoko. He expressed deep sorrow over the passing of late Mrs Janet whom he described as a compassionate woman and she will remembered for all her good works.
Rt Hon Agom wished the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss while praying for the repose of their souls.

The Member representing Okpokwu State Constituency Benue State House Assembly and House of Reps hopeful for Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Agom Anthony joined the Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alfred Emberga, MNIQS and other Members of the Assembly on a legislative tour and capacity-building study to Pattaya, Thailand, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional performance, strategic policy development, and legislative effectiveness in Benue State.

‎The programme, which commenced on Saturday, January 31, 2026 with a theme, “Developing Strategic Policy,” through broader initiative "Benue State House of Assembly Study and Capacity Building Training, 2026.”

‎The training is being delivered in collaboration with SeminarDD, an international professional training and development organisation, facilitated by renowned public policy and governance expert, Prof. Dr. Bhakaporn Kuljirundhorn. The sessions are coordinated by Denschuxs T & T Limited, the programme’s official partner and logistics provider.

‎According to the organisers, the workshop structure includes intensive policy formulation clinics, institutional governance modules, and legislative best-practice sessions designed to enhance lawmakers’ capacity in strategic planning, oversight functions, and effective-based lawmaking.

‎Speaking on the significance of the programme, Speaker Alfred Emberga described the tour as a strategic investment in strengthening the legislative arm of government in Benue State.

Rt Hon Agom Hosts Okpoga Stakeholder's Meeting on the Importance of APC E-Registration

The Member representing Okpokwu State Constituency, Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Agom Anthony in a move to enhance party engagement and membership registration processes, convened a stakeholders' meeting focused on the importance of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) E-Registration programm.

The meeting held at Agom residence brought together party leaders, grassroots members, and local influencers to discuss the benefits of digital registration.
The Enone House of Reps Hopeful used the occasion to sensitize and encourage the people on the importance of the ongoing APC E- Registration and appreciated the President Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Benue State Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, His Deputy Barr Sam Odeh mni for providing an enabling environment for all members of the party to register successfully.

During the meeting, former Caretaker Chairman Okpokwu Local Government Council and former Commissioner of Science and Technology, Hon Godwin Adah, former Caretaker Chairman Okpokwu Local Government Council, Hon Agaba Mathias, Hon Emmanuel Ejeh onyeke Secretary of Okpokwu Local Government Council, four Councillors from Okpoga and a host of other party members emphasized that the E-Registration system is crucial for increasing transparency and accessibility within the party.
