🚨 Benue Assembly Suspends LG Auditor-General Over Alleged N4.6bn Fraud!

The Benue State House of Assembly has suspended Abraham Gberidyer, the Auditor-General for Local Government, over alleged misappropriation and fraud involving a shocking N4.6 billion.

According to reports, Governor Hyacinth Alia told lawmakers that the official is currently under investigation for serious corruption allegations, leading to his suspension pending the outcome of the probe.

But that’s not all—during the same sitting, lawmakers also passed key bills affecting pensions, magistrates’ retirement age, and even a new Benue state symbol and anthem.
