300-level ABU student commits su***de, blames parents in note

A 300-level student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Aisha Omolola Abdulganiyu, has committed su***de, blaming her parents for the decision she took to kill herself.
This was confirmed by the university on its official twitter handle , which stated: “Aisha Omolola, a 300 Level student in ABU took her own life today. She reportedly took poison “Sniper” earlier today in her apartment at Samaru, which immediately took her life.”
The female student took her life in the early hours of Wednesday after hanging out with her friends. She reportedly ingested a harmful substance after she wrote a goodbye note. In the note, she bade farewell to her friends and loved ones, stating that her life had been made a living hell. The young lady noted that her parents blame her for their mistakes.
Abdulganiyu, who took sniper, left a note for her friends with important details including her phone unlocking code and bank debit card pin number. She also blamed her parents in the note, saying her death will bring them comfort, including her brother who at a time had the responsibility of raising her. She added in the note that she should be buried immediately.

Abdulganiyu stresses in her death note a rough relationship with her mother, who accuses her of witchcraft. Being allegedly without maternal love and issues relating to discovering one’s essence, the student opted for su***de, apologizing for the pain her death will cause friends.
According to reports, the late Abdulganiyu had just spent time with her friends and fellow students at the university before making the final move to take her own life.Despite a challenging situation with her mum, the deceased still has good thoughts about her even in death. “Just like I said, if I am no more please hold my family together, especially my mom,” she wrote.

Budding singer, Victor AD’s song, Wetin we Gain, is undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks in the country at the moment.

When the singer was recently attacked by armed robbers on his way to a show, many commentators online insinuated that his song, which glorified money-making, probably propelled the attackers into wanting to make money at all costs.

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Victor AD derided such talks. He said:

“It was not something that I have been through before; that was my first time of being robbed. It wasn’t a palatable experience but I give God all the glory. It has nothing to do with my song. At the end of the day, everybody wants to make money.

As long as we are here on earth, our main focus is to make money; after serving God. Nobody wants to be broke. Before I sang the song, armed robbers were in existence.”

On the inspiration behind the song, the singer said:

“It was like a motivation to hustlers who have been working for a long time but have yet to make it big. It was also based on a personal experience; so it was more like a conversation between me and God. If you listen closely to the lyrics of the song, you will realise that I was just trying to motivate people.”

He stated that he wasn’t expecting to become as big as it currently is:

“I never expected it to be this big so soon. I thought it would only be big in the southern part of the country because it was actually the first music video I’ve shot. I didn’t even do a lot of promotional activities for it before the song went viral. The song is actually my sixth single. Some of my earlier songs are Jowo, Body go tell you, Bigger You, among others,” he said.
