NIGER STATE JOB CREATION CENTRE

The Niger State Job Creation Centre is proud to announce the successful completion of its vocational skills acquisition programme conducted from 20th January to 27th June, 2026.

A total of 147 trainees have successfully completed their training and are set for graduation:

- Catering: 42
- Tailoring: 30
- Shoe & Bag Making: 75

Join us on Thursday, 16th July, 2026, at the Niger State Job Creation Centre for our Exhibition Day, where the graduating trainees will showcase their handcrafted products and demonstrate the skills they have acquired.

Together, we are building a skilled, self-reliant, and economically empowered Niger State.

One thing many entrepreneurs overlook is the importance of having a clear identity and a known business location.

No matter how small your business is today, let people know who you are, what you do, and where they can find you. Put your business name on your products, create a simple social media presence, and have a physical address or a consistent location where customers and support organizations can reach you.

Many grants, partnerships, and business support opportunities require verification. If your business cannot be identified or located, you may miss opportunities you deserve.

Before expecting help, let's put our own house in order. Build a business people can recognize, trust, and find.

The government, development partners, and private organizations are always looking for businesses to support. Make sure yours is ready when the opportunity comes.

Let's help ourselves before we are helped. A visible business has a better chance of growing than an invisible one.

Apart from the roads and hospitals, there is a quiet revolution many people are not talking about.

While many people easily notice new roads, hospitals, and other projects, another important part of governance is quietly changing lives across Niger State... entrepreneurship and human capital development.

The administration of Farmer Governor Umar Mohammed Bago is not only building infrastructure; it is also investing in people. Through partnerships with credible organizations, more entrepreneurs, women, and young people are being given the opportunity to learn, grow, and build businesses that can support their families.

The ongoing Transforming Nigerian Youths Program is one of those efforts. Through the partnership between the Niger State Government, the Niger State Social Investment Programs Office (NS-GEEP), the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University, and the Mastercard Foundation, 690 women entrepreneurs across Bosso and Chanchaga LGAs are benefiting, including 100 Persons with Disabilities, who were also supported to fully participate.

To my fellow entrepreneurs, I know many people are still waiting for their own opportunity. Please don't lose hope. Government programmes like this are being rolled out in phases, so that more communities and more people can be reached. This is not the end. There is still a lot more coming before the end of the year.

Keep improving your skills. Keep your business alive. Stay informed and be ready when your opportunity comes.

Real development is not only about what we see on the streets. It is also about giving people the chance to stand on their own, create jobs, and build a better future. That quiet revolution is already happening in Niger State, and its impact will only continue to grow.
