The devil hugged me and started crying.
I asked him, “Why are you crying?”
He leaned closer and whispered:
“Because you keep surviving everything I send your way.
I watched you fall, but you got back up.
I watched you lose, but you refused to give up.
I reminded you of your past, but God kept reminding you of your purpose.
I tried to break your faith, but every battle pushed you closer to God.
And the truth that scares me the most is this:
I remember who you were before God found you…
but I can see who you're becoming.
You are no longer the person I once had access to.
Every tear made you stronger.
Every disappointment taught you.
Every closed door redirected you.
Every attack became a testimony.
So I'm crying because I know…
I may have fought you in the dark,
but God was building you in the secret.
And one day, you'll look back and realize—
I wasn't destroying you.
I was unknowingly helping God prepare you for who you were always meant to become.”
