NAUOS Worldwide Leadership Visits Christian Polytechnic, Oyubia

The leadership of the National Association of Urue Offong/Oruko Students (NAUOS) Worldwide, the apex student body of Urue Offong/Oruko Local Government Area, paid a courtesy visit today to Christian Polytechnic, Oyubia, a newly established institution with just two years of operations, to familiarize themselves with the school management and seek approval to utilize one of the school auditoriums for the upcoming NAUOS Worldwide General Congress, 2026.

During the visit, the NAUOS leadership had the privilege of meeting the Rector, Dr. Akan, as well as the Registrar and the Dean of Student Affairs. The meeting proved highly productive and insightful, as several key issues concerning student engagement, school administration, and future collaboration were discussed.

Commending the leadership of NAUOS, the Rector stated that this was the first students’ association to formally visit the Polytechnic and used the opportunity to invite the NAUOS leadership to the institution’s upcoming matriculation ceremony on 27th March, 2026, which will be the first since the school’s establishment. The Rector further highlighted that approximately 90% of the students are currently on scholarship for a period of one year, underscoring the institution’s commitment to providing accessible education.

The NAUOS leadership, in turn, commended the Polytechnic’s management for their good governance, commitment to academic excellence, and dedication to student welfare. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss potential areas of collaboration and support for students within the Polytechnic and the wider Urue Offong/Oruko student community.

The visit marks a significant step in fostering a closer partnership between NAUOS Worldwide and Christian Polytechnic, Oyubia, setting a precedent for future engagements aimed at enhancing student development and academic excellence.
