QUALITIES TO LOOK FOR IN A WIFE :

1. God-Fearing — Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive and beauty fades, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Her reverence for God shapes her character, decisions, and the atmosphere she creates in her home.

2. Respectful — Ephesians 5:33
Respect is powerful to a man. A wise wife understands the strength of her words, tone, and honor toward her husband, especially in private and in public.

3. Supportive Helper — Genesis 2:18
God designed the wife as a helper — not inferior, but complementary. She strengthens her husband’s vision, stands beside him, and helps build what God entrusted to them.

4. Wise — Proverbs 14:1
“A wise woman builds her house…” Her wisdom shows in how she speaks, manages her home, resolves conflict, and nurtures peace.

5. Kind — Proverbs 31:26
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and kindness is on her tongue. Her words heal, comfort, and encourage rather than tear down.

6. Faithful — Proverbs 31:11–12
Her husband safely trusts her. She is loyal in heart, conduct, and commitment — bringing good, not harm, all the days of her life.

7. Gentle & Peaceful — 1 Peter 3:3–4
Her beauty flows from a gentle and quiet spirit, which God values greatly. She carries strength with calmness and emotional maturity.

8. Industrious — Proverbs 31:13–17
She is diligent and hardworking, contributing to her home with skill, creativity, and responsibility.

9. Humble — Philippians 2:3–4
Humility allows love to thrive. She values her husband, considers his needs, and avoids pride or competition in the marriage.

10. Encouraging — Proverbs 31:28
Her presence lifts her family. Through prayer, support, and affirmation, she helps her husband and children flourish.

PLEASE ADVICE HER. 🎁
I am very worried. My husband has a friend who keeps looking at me in an uncomfortable way. It has happened many times, but I never told my husband because I don’t know how he would react.

This friend travelled and came back with gifts for our family. He gave me a bag that had things for the kids, my husband, and me. Later, when I served him food and my husband was not around, he gave me a bracelet, earrings, and a necklace. I asked him why he bought such things for me, and he said he cares about me.

My husband has never given me gifts like this, so I admired them. When my husband came into the room and asked where the jewelry came from, I lied and told him I bought them. He believed me.

This afternoon, the friend came to visit us again and asked me to wear the necklace on Sunday since we attend the same church. I don’t want to cause problems between my husband and his friend, but I feel very uncomfortable.

Should I tell my husband the truth, or should I let it slide? I honestly don’t know how my husband will react.

INTIMACY IS NOT A WEAPON

As people who want to have the best in marriage, we need to know these dynamics.

This is a very sensitive topic and I'd speak cautiously.

Some women are the genesis of their problems in marriage. You cannot be tired every night, not in the mood half the week, and your period almost every week, and expect your man to stay there indefinitely waiting.

Marriage is a covenant, not a roommate arrangement. Intimacy is part of the covenant, not an optional add on.

Understand that men need s*x. Men who do not smoke, drink, gamble, womanize, or ma******te will even feel that need more strongly.

This is not to excuse lack of self control. This is to explain the reality of desire. The Bible does not pretend these drives do not exist. It speaks to them with wisdom.

So it is important we all understand the demands of what we are praying for. While I counsel men to learn self control, as wives we must make up our minds to satisfy our husbands. Scripture balances both sides.

The Bible says the fruit of the Spirit is self control. So a man must learn discipline. Yet the Bible also says that husband and wife should not deprive each other, except by mutual consent for a season of prayer, and even then, they should come together again so that temptation does not gain ground. That is Scripture, not opinion.

It is not a weapon fashioned against your husband. If s*x is not your thing, I don't see why you should marry. Marriage is not a safe cover for withholding intimacy.

The bed is to be kept in honour. Intimacy is one of the ways couples keep the fire of love alive. It is not just physical. It is emotional bonding, reassurance, and a language of affection.

A sensible man who is well fed at home will not have time for junk and fast food. It is not just by prayer.

Wisdom is profitable to direct. Prayer covers you. Wisdom guides your steps. The Bible teaches that wisdom builds the house.

Sometimes life brings pain, struggles, and disappointment. But those moments are not here to destroy you — they are here to build you. Every challenge you face is shaping you into a stronger person. Think about how far you have come. You survived things you once thought would break you. That means you are stronger than yesterday. Do not be afraid of hard times. They are preparing you for something greater. Keep learning. Keep growing. Your story is still being written, and the best chapters are yet to come.
