Let’s talk about the MONSTER MENTALITY MINDSET of "Declan Rice" and how you can adopt it to succeed in life.
“THE MONSTER MENTALITY MINDSET” is a mindset of champions. It is hinged On the statement made by Declan Rice, “It is not yet done,” after their defeat to Man City.
The braveness to make that statement in front of the camera, knowing fully well that it will be captured and that that statement will also be used against him at the end of the season if the results don’t go Arsenal’s way, gives us an insight into the type of mentality he has. The mentality of champions.
A mentality that keeps one going even when the odds are fully stacked against him/her. A mentality that keeps one going when the expected results are not being achieved.
A mentality that understands consistency with the right framework and strategy will always have compounding effects that will eventually lead to achieving the expected results. That is the mentality of champions, and it has been exemplified by Declan Rice.
Throughout this season he has been the leadership anchor Arsenal players needed on the field. Always encouraging them and also cheering the fans to keep supporting because he has always believed that it was just a matter of time before the hard work pays off.
And finally, it paid off this season. Arsenal are the champions of England and soon to be champions of Europe because a standout individual decided to infect his colleagues and fellow teammates with his monster mentality mindset.
Now how does this apply to you as a leader, entrepreneur, businessperson, manager, founder, CEO, and even employee? It is simple; first of all, you must understand one of the cardinal points of the theory, which is consistency, hard work, and an effective strategic framework.
Once you are able to understand these indices, it becomes easier for you to start implementing this theory in all facets of your life. Nothing good comes easy, and failure most times is inevitable, but someone with a monster mentality mindset will always be unfazed when faced with such a dilemma because he or she knows it is part of the process.
J.K. Rowling kept writing while living on public assistance; Oprah Winfrey rose from poverty to become one of the most influential women in media; and Michael Jordan turned early rejection into fuel for greatness. The common thread is simple: setbacks did not get the final word. Their response did.
But monster mentality is not blind stubbornness. It is consistency in direction. It means studying what actually works in your space, understanding your audience, watching the market, and building a strategy you can repeat long enough for results to compound.
It means cutting off what is unproductive, keeping A-players around you, and staying accountable when the journey gets uncomfortable. That is what Arteta built at Arsenal: not just motivation, but a system, a culture, and a standard that could survive pressure.
So whether you are building a business, leading a team, or fighting for your own comeback, adopt the monster mentality. Don’t panic when progress is slow. Don’t abandon the process because the applause has not come yet. Stay consistent. Stay strategic. Stay dangerous.
