One thing I’m learning as a designer:
Interest and commitment are two different things.

Someone can:
• praise your work
• ask for samples
• schedule calls
• talk about future plans

And still not be ready to move forward.

At first, it’s easy to overthink it and wonder if you’re the problem.
But with time, you realize that professionalism is also knowing when to stop chasing and let people decide for themselves.

Not every conversation becomes a project.
Not every “I’m interested” turns into action.

This journey is teaching me patience, discernment, and the importance of valuing my time and energy.

Not every design you create will end up being used - and that’s okay.

Recently worked on a flyer design for an event.

I really liked the direction honestly
Strong typography, clean layout, bold feel.

But one thing I keep learning as a designer is this:

Every design teaches you something, whether it goes live or not.

Sometimes you experiment with a style.
Sometimes you test a new layout approach.
Sometimes you realize what could’ve been even better.

That’s all part of the process.

At the end of the day, every project sharpens your creativity and thinking a little more.

My mum has a friend who once believed joining WhatsApp or any other social media platform is a sin.

Funny thing is, this is someone who’s very serious about their faith and convictions.

To her, social media looked like a space filled with distraction, worldly influence, and unnecessary exposure.

And honestly, looking at some things online today… you can almost understand where the concern came from 😂

But over time, I’ve realized something: platforms themselves are neutral. It’s how people use them that makes the difference.

The same social media that distracts one person is helping another person:
• learn skills
• build a business
• spread helpful ideas
• connect with opportunities
• even grow spiritually

A tool can be misused, but that doesn’t automatically make the tool evil.

Maybe the real question isn’t: “Is social media bad?”

Maybe it’s: “What exactly are we using it for?”
