Web design trends: What's hot and what's not?
Web design is more than aesthetics it's a vital part of how your brand communicates with your
audience online. As trends evolve, they don’t just shape how websites look, but also how they
function and engage. As someone who runs a digital media brand (Kotez Media), staying ahead
of design trends has not only improved the visual appeal of my pages but also significantly
boosted visitor engagement, time on site, and conversions.
In this article, I’ll walk you through what’s hot and what’s not in the world of web design, and
how embracing the right trends has impacted my work and clients.
What’s HOT in Web Design (2025)
1. Minimalism with a Twist
Minimal design is still in, but now with vibrant color palettes and bold typography. Clean layouts
with high contrast, white space, and playful fonts keep things fresh and modern.
✅
How it influenced my page:
Adopting this style for client landing pages increased focus on CTAs (call-to-actions) and
simplified navigation. One client reported a 40% increase in sign-ups after we simplified their
homepage.
2. Micro-Interactions
Small animations that respond to user actions like hovering, scrolling, or clicking help keep
users engaged without overwhelming them.
✅
Impact:
These made my client sites feel more interactive and polished. Visitors stay longer and explore
more because the site “feels alive.”
